Purpose
This
study
aims
to
examine
the
concurrent
influence
of
parental
stress,
executive
functions
and
communication
skills
on
challenging
behaviors
in
children
with
Autism
Spectrum
Disorder
(ASD).
These

Abstract
Self‐injurious
behaviors
(SIB)
encompass
a
heterogeneous
set
of
self‐inflicted
aggressive
that
are
highly
prevalent
in
autistic
youth.
Existing
research
on
SIB
autism
spectrum
disorder
(ASD)
has
been
limited
by
significant
methodological
and
conceptual
inconsistencies.

Abstract
This
study
explored
how
caregiver-reported
executive
functioning
domains,
assessed
by
the
BRIEF2
at
baseline,
predicted
behavioral
challenges
reported
caregivers
using
CBCL
six
months
later.
The
sample
included
94
youth
with
Down
syndrome,
aged
6
to
18
years.
Results
of
hierarchical
regression
analyses
revealed
that,
after
controlling
for
effect
IQ,
working
memory
significantly
inattentive
behaviors,
inhibition
rule-breaking
and
both
emotional
control
aggressive
externalizing
behaviors.
After
baseline
only
persisted
as
a
significant
predictor

interventions

Background

acute
resistance
exercise
(RE)
on
inhibitory
control

Abstract

dysregulation
