Background/Objectives: Loneliness is a heterogeneous phenomenon, generally defined as an emotional experience based on the perceived distance between individual’s actual social relationships and those he or she would like to have. Adolescence particularly vulnerable loneliness because of many changes in values, feelings, emotions that characterize it. Among aspects may influence this feeling discomfort, literature identifies maladaptive personality dysfunctional response traumatic events. Our study aims identify possible role traits post-traumatic stress symptomatology form Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Disturbance Self-Organization (DSO) play perception adolescents: Methods: We identified mediation model constructed through structural equation modeling (SEM) test PTSD DSO independent variables mediator relationship these perceptions population adolescents both sexes, Italian high school students; Results: significant influencing state loneliness, directly indirectly traits, which appear exert substantial potentially functioning mediators latter PTSD/DSO symptomatology. Presumably, complicate recovery from adverse experiences by preventing implementation functional coping strategies promoting responses. Conclusions: findings underscore importance researchers clinicians adequately considering different early identification A focus adolescents’ communication interpersonal skills their ability respond effectively stressful events prove useful identifying more effective for managing related distress adolescents.

Abstract Background Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (cPTSD) is a newly recognized condition characterized by core PTSD symptoms and disturbances in self-organization (DSO) that has been associated with psychotic-like experiences (PLEs). This study employs two psychopathology network approaches to identify which are related PLEs sample of late adolescents. We propose cPTSD play crucial role explaining the co-occurrence trauma PLEs. Methods A 1010 adolescents provided measures symptomatology estimated Gaussian graphical structure PTSD/cPTSD assessed their bridge centrality indices. Bayesian analysis was then used estimate directed acyclic graph (DAG). Gender set as moderator both models. Results show affect dysregulation, domain, presented highest connection PLE cluster. identified pathway going from items worthlessness relational paranoia social anxiety. Additionally, we found relevant gender differences connectivity, females showing higher connectivity compared males. Conclusions Our findings highlight central dysregulation negative self-concept linking symptoms, specific according gender. These insights underscore need for targeted, gender-sensitive prevention treatment among adolescents, emphasizing early intervention tailored strategies.

Background: Patients with bipolar disorder (BD) are more likely than the general population to experience traumatic events, particularly during childhood, and these may predict be a risk factor for development of complex PTSD (cPTSD). The presence multiple traumas plays relevant role from psychopathological point view, but little is known about effect this have on suicide attempts in patients BD. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted comparing socio-demographic clinical characteristics, recruiting 344 diagnosed BD I II, screened (or absence) cPTSD using International Trauma Questionnaire (ITQ). Suicide were assessed directly interview patient’s medical record. Results: results emerging indicate that can considered Furthermore, evidence provided support idea highly prevalent related higher burden. Conclusions: recommend an urgent comprehensive assessment suicidal comorbidity both cPTSD. There crucial demand early intervention initiatives proactive prevention strategies address intricate intersection mental health challenges.

Background and Objectives: Traumatic events adversely affect the clinical course of obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD). Our study explores correlation between prolonged interpersonal trauma severity symptoms related to OCD anxiety disorders. Materials Methods: The follows a cross-sectional observational design, employing International Trauma Questionnaire (ITQ) examine areas linked trauma, Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A), Yale–Brown Obsessive–Compulsive (Y-BOCS) assess anxious symptoms, respectively. Descriptive analysis, analysis variance (ANOVA), logistic regression analyses were conducted. Results: We recruited 107 OCD-diagnosed patients, categorizing them into subgroups based on presence or absence complex post-traumatic stress (cPTSD). ANOVA revealed statistically significant differences two groups in onset age (p = 0.083), psychiatric familial history 0.023), HAM-A, Y-BOCS < 0.0001). Logistic indicated association cPTSD scores Conclusions: coexistence exacerbates increases burden anxiety. Further advancements this field are crucial for mitigating impact early trajectory associated symptoms.

Background: The International Trauma Questionnaire (ITQ) is a validated measure supporting the diagnosis of ICD-11 post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD (cPTSD). It has been translated into 35 languages, also Polish. Due to lack information in literature about its validation, new Polish version re-adapted non-clinical clinical samples present study. Objective: study aimed (1) adapt ITQ for use Polish, (2) assess construct validity cPTSD ITQ, (3) examine convergent discriminant ITQ.Method: sample comprised 452 adults: sample, N = 314, (completed online questionnaire) 138, (used pen-and-paper version). Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) Latent Class (LCA) were performed structure ITQ.Results: CFA supported two-factor second-order model as best fit data. All factor loadings statistically significant reached satisfactory level. Cronbach's alpha (α 0.887), 0.810) DSO 0.875) good. LPA revealed four classes: class with elevated symptoms; symptoms but low scores on DSO; PTSD; (4) symptom all symptoms. Conclusion: amended good internal consistency psychometric properties. well fitted differentiating PTSD/cPTSD diagnoses according reliable support making conduct interview.

Background Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is a significant health concern among adolescents and young adults, often resulting from adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Dissociation, post-traumatic symptoms attachment style may have role in shaping such associations. Aims This study aims to provide unified model of the impact ACEs on NSSI, exploring complex stress disorder (cPTSD) dissociation as potential mediators predominant affecting Methods 1010 individuals attending last year high school participated this cross-sectional study. ACEs, cPTSD, NSSI were evaluated using self-report questionnaires. We fitted path with exogenous variables cPTSD sequential mediators. Secure, fearful preoccupied styles modelled grouping variables. Results Our findings showed that mediated subjects style, opposed those for whom ACEs-NSSI association. Background Complex posttraumatic stress disorder is a new diagnosis in the 11th edition of International Classification Diseases (ICD-11). There need for better understanding complex PTSD children and adolescents. Objective The study aimed to estimate factors associated with chronic versus recovery adolescents 2-year follow-up study. Method In total, 66 adolescents, mean age 14.5, 73% female, identified as having using self-report at baseline recruited from general population sample, were included Trauma Questionnaire - Child Adolescent Version (ITQ-CA) was used assessment PTSD. Results Overall, 36% sample has been over 2 years, 10% met criteria follow-up, 54% recovered. A higher risk exposure more traumatic events life-stressors low social network, positive support, bullying school, loneliness. Conclusion found that around one-third traumatized youth had prolonged trajectory symptoms, which negative life experiences difficulties.
