Many studies were conducted during and after the COVID-19 pandemic to examine its impact on young people’s well-being. However, most are quantitative ones focusing negative of people. In contrast, there few examining benefits using a qualitative methodology. Hence, we focus group interviews understand meaning-focused coping in 56 university students from late December 2022 mid-January 2023 when Hong Kong was approaching end pandemic. Thematic analysis deductive analytical approach based Revised Stress Coping Model applied data analysis. The results showed that able generate positive experiences emotions them reported improved mental well-being by infusing ordinary events with meaning. They engaged adaptive goal processes having more attitude towards life. Students also found terms enhanced personal strengths, better interpersonal relationships, pandemic-related abilities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, adolescents' use of social networking sites/apps has surged, and their mental health quality life have also been significantly affected by pandemic its associated social-protection measures. The present study first examined prevalence addiction, status, health-related among Hong Kong adolescent students. We further investigated associations youths' daily addiction with during pandemic.A total 1,147 students (age = 15.20 ± 0.53 years) recruited from 12 randomly selected local secondary schools in participated a questionnaire survey classroom settings between January June, 2020, right after outbreak. includes demographic characteristics scales that measure health, life.Approximately 46.4% participants reported using often or very often, 7.8% met criteria for Bergen's Social Media Addiction Scale. mild to extremely severe depression, anxiety, stress adolescents stood at 39.6, 37.5, 48.8%, respectively, participants' physical, social, school functioning were lower than norms healthy before pandemic. Evidence shows that university students, especially healthcare experienced considerable health impacts during COVID-19. This study examined Hong Kong general nursing students’ mental and quality of life the COVID-19 pandemic. An online questionnaire composed personal demographics, Fear scale (FCV-19S), Depression Anxiety Stress Scale short version (DASS21), World Health Organization Quality Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) was used for data collection in early 2021. Among 380 respondents, 170 (45%) did not attend clinical practicum Students who participate training scored lower FCV-19S but higher WHOQOL-BREF than those participated (p = 0.001 or p < 0.001). were negatively correlated (r −0.623 to −0.446, Slight negative correlations found between DASS-21 scores. Although there no significant differences DASS21 0.294–0.931) these two student groups, a considerably high prevalence rate depression (57.1%), anxiety (47.6%), stress (39.5%). attended pandemic, substantial emotional implications. Family resilience is an important protective factor mitigating the negative impact of adversities on individuals and families. As there are very few validated measures family in Chinese context, we have developed Resilience Scale (C-FRS) based framework Froma Walsh. In this paper, outline development validation C-FRS with reference to socio-cultural context Hong Kong. Based content involving experts, initial 51 items were assessed terms their relevance, clarity, representativeness.
