Abstract Low life satisfaction has often been associated with problematic social media use (PSMU), smartphone (PSU), FoMO and psychological distress. However, no studies have analyzed the relationship between satisfaction, PSMU, PSU, FoMO, distress, in an integrated model. This cross-sectional descriptive study aimed to determine the prevalence and risk factors of technology addiction (TA) in adolescents, as well investigate association TA with food emotional eating by body weight status.
