The relationship between oxidative stress and skin aging/disorders is well established. Many topical oral antioxidants (vitamins C E, carotenoids, polyphenols) have been proposed to protect the against deleterious effect induced by increased reactive oxygen species production, particularly in context of sun exposure. In this review, we focused on combination vitamin E selenium taken supplements since both molecules act synergy either non-enzymatic enzymatic pathways eliminate lipids peroxides, which are strongly implicated hair disorders.

Melatonin has been reported to have an important role in fruit ripening, although the effect of pre-harvest melatonin treatment on sweet cherry quality properties during storage is still unknown. In present experiments, effects (0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 Mm) by foliar spray treatments 'Prime Giant' 'Sweet Heart' trees traits antioxidants systems was evaluated. Results showed that these reduced weight losses storage, as well firmness titratable acidity. addition, changes colour total soluble solid content were also delayed from treated with respect controls. Moreover, general, phenolic anthocyanin concentrations higher than those control ones, either at harvest or whole period. Finally, activity antioxidant enzymes catalase, ascorbate peroxidase enhanced a consequence treatment. Overall results show post-harvest ripening process fruit, leading maintenance their optimum levels for consumption 2 weeks more trees. Antioxidant systems, both enzymatic non-enzymatic treatments, which would account delay storage.

Aging, a natural and inevitable physiological process, is the primary risk factor for all age-related diseases; it severely threatens health of individuals places heavy burden on public health-care system. Thus, strategies to extend lifespan prevent treat diseases have been gaining increasing scientific interest. Anthocyanins (ACNs) are subclass flavonoids widely distributed in fruits vegetables. Growing evidence suggests that ACNs delay aging relieve diseases. However, owing low bioavailability ACNs, their gut metabolites proposed play critical role mediating benefits. In this review, we introduce biological fate after consumption highlight (phenolic acids) from intestinal microorganisms. Additionally, exhibit outstanding anti-aging ability Caenorhabditis elegans, Drosophila melanogaster, mouse models, probably associated with antioxidation, anti-inflammation, protein homeostasis, antiglycation, mitochondrial function, inhibition insulin/IGF-1 signaling (IIS). great application prospects as functional foods drugs manage Further investigation should focus interaction between microbiota, including clarifying complex metabolic pathway maximizing effects ACNs.

Ageing is a complex process characterized mainly by decline in the function of cells, tissues, and organs, resulting an increased risk mortality. This involves several changes, described as hallmarks ageing, which include genomic instability, telomere attrition, epigenetic loss proteostasis, dysregulated nutrient sensing, mitochondrial dysfunction, cellular senescence, stem cell depletion, altered intracellular communication. The determining role that environmental factors such diet lifestyle play on health, life expectancy, susceptibility to diseases, including cancer neurodegenerative wellestablished. In view growing interest beneficial effects phytochemicals prevention chronic studies have been conducted, they strongly suggest intake dietary polyphenols may bring numerous benefits due their antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties, has associated with impaired ageing humans. Polyphenol shown be effective ameliorating age-related phenotypes, oxidative stress, inflammatory processes, among other features, contribute ageing-associated diseases. review aims address, general way, main findings literature about each well regulatory mechanisms responsible for observed antiageing effects.

Aging, a fundamental physiological process influenced by innumerable biological and genetic pathways, is an important driving factor for several aging-associated disorders like diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's Parkinson's diseases. In the modern era, mechanisms associated with aging have been deeply studied. Treatment therapeutics age-related also made considerable advances; however, effective long-lasting treatment, nutritional therapy particularly dietary polyphenols from natural origin are endorsed. These (e.g., apigenin, baicalin, curcumin, epigallocatechin gallate, kaempferol, quercetin, resveratrol, theaflavin), many other phytochemicals target certain molecular, mechanisms. The most common pathways of age-associated mitogen-activated protein kinase, reactive oxygen species production, nuclear kappa light chain enhancer activated B cells signaling metal chelation, c-Jun N-terminal inflammation. Cellular senescence has long been considered a permanent state of cell cycle arrest occurring in proliferating cells subject to different stressors, used as cellular defense mechanism from acquiring potentially harmful genetic faults. However, recent studies highlight that senescent might also alter the local tissue environment and concur chronic inflammation cancer risk by secreting inflammatory matrix remodeling factors, senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP). Indeed, during aging age-related diseases, amass mammalian tissues, likely contributing inevitable loss function we age. thus become one potential target tackle age-associated diseases well development. One important aspect characterizing is their telomere length. Telomeres shorten consequence multiple replications, gradually leading arrest, known replicative senescence. Interestingly, large majority cells, escape strategy length maintained telomerase, favoring initiation tumor survival. There growing evidence showing how (poly)phenols can impact maintenance through molecular mechanisms depending on dose phenotypes. Although normally, maintain support telomerase activity, this activity negatively modulated, accelerating attrition promoting death. Some have shown exert senolytic suggesting both antiaging (directly eliminating cells) anticancer (indirectly, via SASP inhibition) potentials.
