While fructose is a key dietary component, concerns have been raised about its potential risks to the liver. This study aimed assess quercetin's protective effects against fructose-induced mouse hepatic steatosis. Thirty-two male C57BL/6J mice were randomly allocated into four groups: control, high diet (HFrD), HFrD supplemented with low-dose quercetin (HFrD+LQ), and high-dose (HFrD+HQ). Biochemical, pathological, immune, metabolic parameters assessed. Quercetin treatment significantly reduced liver fat percentages in on diet, most notable reduction observed HFrD+HQ group. Histological examination confirmed this reduction, revealing diminished lipid droplets decreased inflammation steatosis hepatocytes. Compared group, interleukin-1 β tumor necrosis factor alpha decreased, serum aspartate aminotransferase concentrations markedly reduced, blood high-density lipoprotein substantially elevated after intervention (

This study was divided into two parts. The first part involved the isolation, and detection of prevalence antimicrobial resistance profile Aeromonas hydrophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio species from Nile tilapia fish marine aquatic water. One hundred freshly dead were collected freshwater aquaculture farms located in Al-Abbassah district, Sharkia Governorate, 100 samples water Port Said. second focused on determining vitro inhibitory effect dual-combination AgNPs-H2O2 bacterial growth its down regulatory crucial virulence factors using RT-PCR. highest levels A. hydrophila P. aeruginosa detected 43%, 34% samples, respectively. Meanwhile, level found 37% samples. Additionally, most isolated exhibited a multi-drug profile. MIC MBC results indicated bactericidal AgNPs-H2O2. Furthermore, transcriptional modulation virulence-associated genes resulted significant down-regulation aerA, exoU, trh spp., findings this suggest effectiveness against drug resistant pathogens related to aquaculture.

Liver disease is a common and serious threat to human health. The progression of liver diseases influenced by many physiologic processes, including oxidative stress, inflammation, bile acid metabolism, autophagy. Various factors lead the dysfunction these processes basing on different pathogeny, pathology, clinical manifestation, pathogenesis, are grouped into categories. Specifically, Sirtuin1 (SIRT1), member sirtuin protein family, has been extensively studied in context injury recent years confirmed significant role disease. SIRT1 found play critical regulating key injury. Further, seems cause divers outcomes types diseases. Recent studies have showed some therapeutic strategies involving modulating SIRT1, which may bring novel target. To elucidate mechanisms underlying sirtuin1 its potentiality as target, this review outlines signaling pathways associated with injury, discusses advances targeting

Diabetic neuropathy (DN) is recognized as a significant complication arising from diabetes mellitus (DM). Pathogenesis of DN accelerated by endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, which inhibits autophagy and contributes to disease progression. Autophagy highly conserved mechanism crucial in mitigating cell death induced ER stress. Chrysin, naturally occurring flavonoid, can be found abundantly honey, propolis, various plant extracts. Despite possessing advantageous attributes such being an antioxidant, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic, anticancer agent, chrysin exhibits limited bioavailability. The current study aimed produce more bioavailable form discover how administering could alter the Alloxan male rats.

Introduction Enterococcus faecalis , a common inhabitant of the feline gastrointestinal tract, has emerged as significant pathogen causing urinary tract infections (UTIs) in domestic cats. The rise multidrug-resistant E. strains and their propensity to form biofilms pose challenges treatment. This study investigated antibacterial antibiofilm activities hexagonal zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) alone combination with streptomycin Moringa oleifera leaf extract (MOLe) against isolates from UTIs. Methods Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed using Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. Biofilm formation assessed crystal violet assay, biofilm-associated genes ( sprE gel E, fsr ABC) were detected by PCR. ZnONPs, Str/ZnONPs (streptomycin-loaded ZnONPs), Str/MOLe@ZnONPs (streptomycin MOLe-loaded ZnONPs) characterized FTIR, DLS, TEM, SEM. synthesized evaluated through time-kill assays, well gene expression analysis. Results A high prevalence multidrug resistance observed among isolates, ampicillin, vancomycin, streptomycin. Characterization studies revealed successful encapsulation MOLe within ZnONPs. In vitro assays demonstrated that exhibited potent tested strains, significantly reducing bacterial growth biofilm formation. Discussion emergence necessitates development novel therapeutic strategies. demonstrates promising potential particularly those loaded MOLe, combating biofilm-forming . synergistic effects combined formulation may offer approach overcome antibiotic improve treatment outcomes UTIs
