Silybin,
which
belongs
to
the
flavonolignan
group,
is
major
component
of
fruit
extract
Silybum
marianum
(common
name:
milk
thistle).
Silybin

medicinal
compound

hepatoprotective,
antioxidant,
and
anticancer
properties.

study,

derivatives
were
produced
through
γ-radiolysis,

Background
In
recent
years,
the
incidence
of
alcoholic
liver
disease
(ALD)
has
rapidly
increased
worldwide,
becoming
a
significant
health
issue.
Silibinin
capsules
have
shown
potential
in
treating
ALD,
but
clinical
evidence
is
still
insufficient.
This
meta-analysis
aimed
to
evaluate
efficacy
and
safety
treatment
ALD.
Methods

study
was
registered

PROSPERO
(CRD42024509676).
Randomized
controlled
trials
