Abstract Neural interfaces, emerging at the intersection of neurotechnology and urban planning, promise to transform how we interact with our surroundings communicate. By recording decoding neural signals, these interfaces facilitate direct connections between brain external devices, enabling seamless information exchange shared experiences. Nevertheless, their development is challenged by complexities in materials science, electrochemistry, algorithmic design. Electrophysiological crosstalk mismatch electrode rigidity tissue flexibility further complicate signal fidelity biocompatibility. Recent closed‐loop brain‐computer while promising for mood regulation cognitive enhancement, are limited accuracy adaptability user interfaces. This perspective outlines challenges discusses progress contrasting non‐invasive invasive approaches, explores dynamics stimulation interfacing. Emphasis placed on applications beyond healthcare, highlighting need implantable high‐resolution capabilities.

The hippocampus, noted as (HC), plays a crucial role in the processes of learning, memory formation, and spatial navigation. Recent research reveals that this brain region can undergo structural functional changes due to environmental exposures, including stress, noise pollution, sleep deprivation, microgravity. This review synthesizes findings from animal human studies, emphasizing HC's plasticity response these factors. It examines volume, architecture, neurogenesis, synaptic plasticity, gene expression highlights critical periods vulnerability influences impacting cognition behavior. also investigates underlying mechanisms such glucocorticoid signaling, epigenetic alterations, neural circuit adaptations. Understanding how HC reacts various exposures is vital for developing strategies enhance cognitive resilience mitigate negative effects on region. Further needed identify protective risk factors create effective interventions.

Abstract The scaffolding A-kinase anchoring protein 150 (AKAP150) is critically involved in kinase and phosphatase regulation of synaptic transmission/plasticity, neuronal excitability. Emerging evidence also suggests that AKAP150 signaling may play a key role brain’s processing rewarding/aversive experiences, however its the lateral habenula (LHb, as an important brain reward circuitry) completely unknown. Using whole cell patch clamp recordings LHb male wildtype ΔPKA knockin mice (with deficiency AKAP-anchoring PKA), here we show genetic disruption PKA to significantly reduces AMPA receptor-mediated glutamatergic transmission prevents induction presynaptic endocannabinoid-mediated long-term depression neurons. Isolated rapid-eye-movement behavior disorder (iRBD) often precedes the development of alpha-synucleinopathies such as Parkinson's disease (PD). Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies have revealed structural brain alterations in iRBD partially resembling those observed PD. However, relatively little is known about whole-brain functional iRBD. Here, we characterize connectome compared with PD patients and healthy controls (HC) using resting-state MRI (rs-fMRI).

As life becomes more stressful, neurological disorders, psychiatric and comorbidities of the two are becoming a concern. Multiple neuropsychiatric disorders share same mental somatic dysfunction may involve common brain circuits mechanistic targets. Music therapy, as an art form with proven efficacy, low cost few side effects, is promoted for use in interventions disorders. This be closely related to release signaling molecules such monoamine neurotransmitters, glutamatergic system, gut-microbiota-brain axis, pro-inflammatory cytokines endogenous opioid peptide system. However, fewer studies have mentioned main targets music promote functional changes regions. Therefore, this paper review mechanisms by which therapy interacts prefrontal cortex-hippocampus-amygdala circuit through aforementioned molecules. It also hypothesized that glial cells, mitochondria microRNAs microscopic musical intervention The aim give new ideas future research into biological

Anxiety and depression are common non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD) that significantly affect patients' quality life. In recent years, our understanding PD has advanced through multifaceted studies on the pathological mechanisms associated with anxiety in PD. These classic psychiatric involve complex pathophysiology, both distinct features connections to underlying aetiology Furthermore, co-occurrence blurs boundaries between them. Therefore, a comprehensive summary pathogenic will aid better addressing emergence these This article integrates neuroanatomical, neural projection, neurotransmitter, neuroinflammatory, brain-gut axis, neurotrophic, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal genetic perspectives provide description core alterations PD, aiming an up-to-date perspective broader therapeutic prospects for patients suffering from or depression.

Abstract Background: The role of intracranial lymphatic circulation in Parkinson's disease (PD) causes more and concerns nowadays. The drainage function meningeal vessels (MLVs) the clearance capability glymphatic system have been demonstrated to associate with development PD. However, underlying mechanisms remain inadequately elucidated. Methods: 31 PD patients age- sex-matched healthy controls (HC) were recruited. group was divided into early (ePD) advanced (aPD) groups based on Hoehn-Yahr (H-Y) scale. tremor-dominant (tPD), myotonic-dominant (mPD), tremor-myotonic (t-mPD) subgroups according clinical symptoms. All subjects underwent specialized assessments noninvasive MRI examinations. volume MLVs diffusion tensor imaging analysis along perivascular space (DTI-ALPS) index calculated. differences correlations observed among volume, DTI-ALPS various parameters. Results:Both ePD aPD higher than HC (p<0.001, p=0.019). For index, showed lower (p=0.001). And both (p<0.001, p=0.022). Correlation revealed a negative association between H-Y scale (p=0.04), then ratio positively correlated age (p=0.01). Conclusion:The changes may elucidated dysfunction potential relationship warrants further in-depth investigation.
