Ecotourism in Saudi Arabia (KSA) is gaining significant attention due to the country’s diverse natural landscapes, rich biodiversity, and efforts preserve display its environmental treasures. This study presents a comprehensive assessment of urban green space (UGS) suitability Taif region using geographic information system (GIS) combined with multiple-criteria decision-analysis-based analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The integration various morphologic, topographic, climatic, land use/land change (LULC) maps provided robust framework for evaluating UGSs. In this study, ten criteria were used elaborate on UGS suitability. results indicate that distance water, road, rainfall, LULC most influential determining Distance road emerged as criterion, emphasizing importance accessibility visibility attracting public spaces. demonstrated fair development across 56.4% total area. Emergent complex climate risks challenge conventional approaches for adaptation (CCA) and disaster risk reduction (DRR). This situation demands new ways of addressing with integrated solutions. Nature-based Solutions (NbS) are promising CCA DRR given their cost-effectiveness, multifunctionality low-regret condition in a wide range exacerbated by change. However, little attention has been paid to exploring methodological combining NbS reduce risks. Still, selecting the appropriate effective combination is challenging task. research applies geospatial multi-criteria approach developing intervention packages this innovative methodology case study area Puna region Peru. Among the Saudi Vision 2030 programs is Green Initiative, which aims to protect environment, energy conversion, and sustainability projects build a sustainable future. In present paper, Infrastructures (GI) were assessed, analyzed, mapped using GIS Analytic Hierarchy Process-based-Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Method (AHP-MCDM). Ten criteria selected elaborate GI suitability map (DEM, slope, topographic position index, rainfall, distance water lines, wetness road, wind speed, housing income group high (high-income people) map, employment in agricultural sector, land use change). The results revealed four classes of suitability: Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent. “Excellent” area for planning was estimated at 983 km2 (9%), whereas “Good” covered 36% (3987 km2). excellent good areas more localized central part Al Baha region Bahah, Elmandaq, Alatawlah, Buljurshi. According obtained results, southern study not suitable planning; this explained by large barren sand. research may help managers decision-makers future region.

During the past two decades, Hue city has undergone significant changes in its economic development, leading to a rapid transformation of land-use and land-cover (LULC) patterns. This study used remote sensing data Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analyze city, providing essential insights for city’s future development. research examines indicators such as area changes, urban development trends, morphology areas during period from 2000 2020, with assessments conducted at ten-year intervals. The results showed that built-up forest land have increased, while agricultural unused decreased over time. By had expanded by more than 60% north northeast directions. developed through infilling edge expansion existing areas, some regions primarily into outlying sections east south constructing high-end residential on former paddy rice fields. These findings yield valuable policy implications extend beyond case offering other cities pursue inclusive prosperous futures.

The health of urban populations is increasingly at risk due to the amplification and chronification heat stress by climate change. This particularly true for environments in humid tropical climates, including many cities Southeast Asia.
