gained
global

Learners'
attitudes
toward
new
technologies
significantly
influence
their
use
of
AI
tools,
such
as
ChatGPT.
However,
variable-centered
studies
struggle
fully
capture
heterogeneity
attitudes.
This
study
employed
person-centered
approach
(latent
profile
analysis)
and
thematic
analysis
uncover
students'
behavioral
intentions
regarding
Utilizing
meticulous
stratified
random
sampling
approach,
this
conducted
mixed-method
based
on
representative
data
from
850
Chinese
university
students,
revealing
three
profiles:
Positive
Embracers,
Cautious
Rational
Optimism,
Complex
Attitudinal
Profile.
Of
participants,
80.2%
showed
Optimism
profile,
where
Embracers
notably
higher
ChatGPT
intentions.
These
findings
emphasize
need
for
multidimensional
approaches
when
studying

Abstract
Artificial
intelligence
models,
like
ChatGPT,
have
the
potential
to
revolutionize
higher
education
when
implemented
properly.
This
study
aimed
investigate
factors
influencing
university
students’
attitudes
and
usage
of
ChatGPT
in
Arab
countries.

survey
instrument
“TAME-ChatGPT”

HE
