During the emergency online pivot, two faculties (i.e., divisions) of a large Irish university aimed to document insights about teaching and learning in context COVID-19 pandemic. An anonymous survey all staff within each faculty was undertaken, some results which are presented here. Key findings focus on use technology higher education, demonstrating differential impacts different disciplines year groups, pointing levels educator readiness need for focused professional development training prepare integrating ensure satisfactory outcomes. Purpose This article presents findings on the relationship between social interactions in remote learning environments and perceived effectiveness of learning. Specifically, it examines impact teacher-student student-student learning, with a focus how students’ attitudes towards education mediate this relationship. Declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic by World Health Organization in 2020 forced many schools to switch emergency virtual instruction. This situation provided an opportunity explore effectiveness online learning from students’ perspectives. To discover best practices for learning, 584 STEM students at California State Polytechnic University Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) were surveyed about their Spring and Fall experiences. Some obstacles faced adapting a new lifestyle, feeling disconnected, managing schedule workload, overcoming distractions. Despite difficulties, 61% benefited flexibility, convenience, increased productivity. The time normally spent commuting parking on campus was instead getting more sleep, studying, working extra hours, spending with family, practicing self-care. Another major benefit accessibility course materials posted online. Major themes responses belonging, organization transparency, need real-world applications. Incorporating these strategies enhance teaching methods. Responses along some problem-solving suggestions that can improve both in-person are discussed.

This paper presents a qualitative study of the experience students shift from face-to-face learning to online during COVID-19 lockdown in Norway. Detailed inputs were collected 200 university enrolled bachelor’s degree information technology Norway through an survey. Their responses categorized into three main themes: teacher’s role, life student, and digital learning. We found that, surprisingly, felt that had positive effects on their lives, such as availability more time for study, flexibility recorded lectures which could be reviewed repeatedly anytime, pose questions. After the COVID-19 pandemic, use of virtual platforms, social networks and online applications has been totally modified by returning to face-to-face systems. E-learning has been proposed as a sustainable delivery method for higher education. During the COVID-19 pandemic, online/e-service-learning was widely adopted around world replacement face-to-face service learning, providing an opportunity to explore whether e-learning could be applied learning. The present study qualitative approach investigate e-service-learning experiences of Mainland Chinese students studying at Hong Kong university with regard their general perceptions about projects, perceived learning gains, and factors associated gains. A total 28 undergraduates who participated in 2020/21 academic year were recruited from different faculties university. Seven focus groups established participants. results showed that generally had positive during pandemic. They appreciated convenient effective online service, although they needed contact is more direct recipients deepen reflection. Students improved problem-solving skills subject knowledge; also gained meaningful personal growth emotions through e-service-learning.
