Aim
This
study
aims

assess

sodium–glucose

inhibitor
(SGLT-2i)
treatment

muscle
atrophy
in

Abstract:
Diabetes
and
sarcopenia
are
emerging
as
serious
public
health
issues.
Sarcopenia,

age-related
disorder
characterized
by
loss
of
skeletal
muscle
mass

patients
with

2
diabetes
mellitus

Diabetes
represents
a
major
public
health
concern
with

on
human
life
and
healthcare
expenditures.
It
is

established
that
diabetes

skeletal
muscle
pathology

of

Increasing
evidence
indicates

prevalent
disorders
impaired
regeneration,
yet
underlying
mechanisms
therapeutic

remain
poorly
established.
In
this
review,
we
describe
cellular
molecular
alterations
currently
known
to
occur
during
regeneration
in
people
animal
models
diabetes,
including
its
associated
comorbidities,
e.g.,
obesity,
hyperinsulinemia,
insulin
resistance.

Abstract
Aims
Pre-diabetes

Resumo
O
estudo
objetiva
sintetizar
o
conhecimento
disponível
sobre
os
métodos
utilizados
para
avaliação
da
síndrome
fragilidade
em
pessoas
idosas
com
diabetes
na
comunidade.
Trata-se
de
uma
revisão
integrativa
literatura
feita
nas
bases
dados
LILACS,
PubMed,
Embase,
Web
of
Science
e
Scopus.
Foram
incluídos
19
artigos
categorizados
base
nos
tipos
instrumentos:
unidimensional,
que
incluem
apenas
elementos
físicos
fragilidade,
multidimensional,
incorpora
domínios
cognitivos
psicossociais.
Constatou-se
a
presença
todos
incluídos,
havendo
variação
28,2%

instrumentos
unidimensionais

As
evidências
científicas
demonstraram

distinção

entre
