Heavy metal (HM) poisoning of agricultural soils poses a serious risk to plant life, human health, and the global food supply. When HM levels in get dangerous levels, it harms crop health yield. Chromium (Cr), arsenic (As), nickel (Ni), cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu) are main heavy metals. The environment contains these metals varying degrees, such as soil, food, water, even air. These substances damage plants alter soil characteristics, which lowers Crop types, growing circumstances, elemental toxicity, developmental stage, physical chemical properties, presence bioavailability (HMs) solution some factors affecting amount toxicity crops. By interfering with normal structure function cellular components, HMs can impede various metabolic processes. Humans exposed numerous diseases by consuming affected products. Exposure certain harm kidneys, brain, intestines, lungs, liver, other organs body. This review assesses (1) contamination through different sources, like anthropogenic natural; (2) effect on microorganisms properties soil; (3) well production; (4) entering chain associated hazards health. Lastly, we identified research gaps suggested further study. If people want feel safe their surroundings, there needs be stringent regulation release into environment.

Heavy metal soil contamination is a global environmental issue that poses serious threats to human health, agricultural advancement, and ecosystem systems. Thirty-five samples from various parts of Jazan, Southwest Saudi Arabia, were collected. To create spatial pattern maps for nine potentially toxic elements (PTEs) (As, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb, V, Zn), Ordinary Kriging (OK) was utilized. The variability the concentration estimated using multivariate analysis, including principal component analysis (PCA) cluster analysis. In addition, levels in research area assessed contaminations indices, namely, Enrichment Factor (EF), Contamination (CF), geoaccumulation index (Igeo), modified degree (mCd). Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) land use/land cover (LULC) evaluate vegetation density identify different forms use. results showed Gaussian model fitted As well, whereas spherical Zn. An exponential Fe V. Pb also suited Stable model. each selected metals, root mean square standardized error (RMSSE) values close one, (MSE) almost zero Moreover, findings there tendency heavy metals rise west east. divided data this investigation into two clusters. Significant alterations Zn revealed by acquired data. However, total concentrations clusters did not differ significantly. mCd value region often fell one three classes, with areas 148.20 km2 (nil very low contamination), 26.16 (low 0.495 (moderate contamination). indicated minerals connected Arabian Shield’s basement rocks are main source these PTEs. It crucial monitor PTEs because highly cultivated, as shown NDVI LULC status. Given potential future pollution due activity, PTEsPTEs decision-makers may use distribution pollutants their basis monitoring study area.

The progress of the industry and increase in production pollutants have caused environment to be exposed pollution. Among pollutants, heavy metals (HMs) cause irreparable hazards due their accumulation non-biodegradability. Contamination water soil with HMs causes them accumulate plants animals, finally, they enter food chain effects on human health. nature is toxic, so even trace amounts can problems. Many factors release metals, such as improper waste disposal, sewage, agricultural fertilizers, pesticides, automobiles, coal mines, thermal power plants. Therefore, most important method properly manage sources pollution then remove that In this study, removal methods been investigated. For purpose, contamination (river, fish, shrimp), street dust, surface soil, vegetables, vegetable oils were Also, some (phytoremediation, use nanoparticles polymers) adsorbent materials (such zeolites, clay minerals, activated carbons) are

Abstract This study focused on the analysis of mineral and heavy metal contents spinach, lettuce parsley samples in different regions to investigate risks chronic exposure contamination. After microwave digestion process, (Na, Mg, Al, P, K, Ca, Fe, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Cd, Sn, Hg, Pb) were determined with ICP-MS. Two parallel prepared from each sample, analyzed three times, mean values analyzes performed reported. From analysis, order finding metals is Cu > Pb Cd As Sn Hg. The results evaluated statistically Pb, found high spinach ( p < 0.05). According analysis; highest content are taken Tekirdağ (5.1 ± 0.3 mg/kg), Edirne (0.106 0.007 mg/kg) (0.080 0.004 respectively. One important reasons for this increase industrial areas those regions. compared certified reference materials, quantities analytes be compatible certificate proved correct.
