Apigenin is one of the most widespread flavonoids in plant kingdom. For centuries, apigenin-containing preparations have been used traditional medicines to treat diseases that an inflammatory and/or degenerative component. In 1980s, apigenin was proposed interfere with process carcinogenesis. Since then, more and evidence has demonstrated its anticancer efficacy, both vitro vivo. shown target signaling pathways involved development progression cancer, such as PI3K/Akt/mTOR, MAPK/ERK, JAK/STAT, NF-κB, Wnt/β-catenin pathways, modulate different hallmarks cell proliferation, metastasis, apoptosis, invasion, migration. Furthermore, modulates PD1/PD-L1 expression cancer/T killer cells regulates percentage T regulatory cells. Recently, studied for synergic additive effects when combined chemotherapy, minimizing side effects. Unfortunately, low bioavailability high permeability limit therapeutic applications. Based on micro- nanoformulations enhance physical stability drug-loading capacity increase apigenin, novel drug-delivery systems investigated improve solubility.

Abstract Background Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease leading to destruction of insulin-producing pancreatic beta cells. Both genetic and environmental factors contribute pathogenesis. The incidence T1D increasing worldwide, with significant geographic ethnic variations. Patients present symptoms hyperglycemia complications. Main body In T1D, autoreactive T cells autoantibodies destroy cells, causing insulin deficiency. Exogenous therapy essential but cannot replicate normal physiology. Management requires intensive lifestyle education on diet, exercise, glucose monitoring avoiding complications, in addition insulin. Novel therapies like immunotherapy, cell transplantation, artificial pancreas devices AI algorithms aim improve care. Strategies for reversing involve combination immunotherapies block autoimmunity regenerate via stem or xenotransplantation. Conclusion While type remains challenging, ongoing research provides hope. Elucidating individualized mechanisms translating findings into precision prevention treatment approaches are critical improving long-term outcomes. Innovative multi-targeted may fundamentally change the trajectory T1D.

Abstract Glucolipid metabolism disorder (GLMD) is a complex chronic disease characterized by glucose and lipid disorders with diverse etiology rapidly increasing incidence. Many studies have identified the role of flavonoids in ameliorating GLMD, mechanisms related to peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptors, nuclear factor kappa‐B, AMP‐activated protein kinase, (erythroid‐derived 2)‐like 2, transporter type 4, phosphatidylinositol‐3‐kinase/protein kinase B pathway. However, comprehensive summary flavonoid effects on GLMD lacking. This study reviewed roles natural different structures treatment reported globally past 5 years provides reference for developing as drugs treating GLMD.

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder which one of the leading causes mortality and morbidities in elderly humans. Chronic diabetes can lead to kidney failure, blindness, limb amputation, heart attack stroke. Physical activity, healthy diets medications reduce incidence diabetes, so search for more efficient antidiabetic therapies, most especially from natural products, necessity. Herein, extract roots medicinal plant Pterocarpus erinaceus was purified by column chromatography afforded ten compounds were characterized EIMS, HR-FAB-MS, 1D 2D NMR techniques. Amongst them were, new trimeric derivative epicatechin, named 2,3-Epoxyprocyanidin C1 (1); two pentacyclic triterpenoids, friedelin (2) betulin (3); angolensin (4); flavonoids such as 7-methoxygenistein (5), 7-methoxydaidzein (6), apigenin 7-O-glucoronide (8) naringenin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (9); an ellagic acid (10). The evaluated their potential α-amylase α-glucosidase inhibitory assays. IC50 values compound 7 (48.1 ± 0.9 µg/mL), 8 (48.6 0.1 9 (50.2 0.5 µg/mL) (40.5 0.8 when compared that acarbose (26.4 0.3 indicated good inhibition.
