Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) is used to assess glycemic control in Type 1 diabetes (DM1) patients. Apolipoproteins play an essential role DM1 pathophysiology and may be associated with complications, as well HbA1c. This cross-sectional observational study consisting of 81 children adolescents both sexes diagnosed investigated the relationship between body fat distribution lean mass HbA1C apolipoprotein values analyzing biochemical composition measurements. Shapiro-Wilk test Lilliefors correction, non-parametric Mann-Whitney test, others were a significance level 5%. The sample had diagnosis time 4.32 years high blood glucose levels (mean 178.19 mg/dL) HbA1c 8.57%). Subjects also moderate adiposity, indicated by arm thigh areas. found significant differences patients concerning apolipoproteins A B, smaller proportion having undesirable levels. Finally, difference estimated cardiovascular risk based on ApoB/ApoA-1 ratio. Conclusively, visceral increase long-term complications owing its association elevated values.

Sarcopenia is a geriatric condition characterized by progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength, with an increased risk adverse health outcomes (e.g., falls, disability, institutionalization, reduced quality life, mortality). Pharmacological remedies are currently unavailable for preventing the development sarcopenia, halting its progression, or impeding negative outcomes. The most effective strategies to contrast sarcopenia rely on adoption healthier lifestyle behaviors, including adherence high-quality diets regular physical activity. In this review, role nutrition in prevention management summarized. Special attention given current "blockbuster" dietary regimes agents used counteract age-related wasting, together their putative mechanisms action. Issues related design implementation nutritional discussed, focus unanswered questions appropriate timing interventions preserve function into old age. A brief description also provided new technologies that can facilitate personalized plans sarcopenia.

Abstract Regular exercise has both immediate and long-lasting benefits on cardiometabolic health, been recommended as a cornerstone of treatment in the management diabetes cardiovascular conditions. Exerkines, which are defined humoral factors responsive to acute or chronic exercise, have emerged important players conferring some multiple exercise. Over past decades, hundreds exerkines released from skeletal muscle, heart, liver, adipose tissue, brain, gut identified, several (such FGF21, IL-6, adiponectin) exploited therapeutically mimetics for various metabolic diseases. Recent advances metagenomics led identification microbiota, so-called “hidden” organ, an additional class determining efficacy prevention, cardiac protection, performance. Furthermore, multiomics-based studies shown feasibility using baseline exerkine signatures predict individual responses with respect cardiorespiratory health. This review aims explore molecular pathways whereby networks mediate adaptations by fine-tuning inter-organ crosstalk, discuss roadmaps translating exerkine-based discovery into therapeutic application personalized medicine disease.

Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) includes several metabolic dysfunctions caused by dysregulation in the brain–gut–liver axis and, consequently, increases cardiovascular risks and dysfunction. In MAFLD, type 2 diabetes mellitus, obesity, syndrome are frequently present; these conditions related to lipogenesis systemic inflammation. This study aimed review connection between MAFLD. The inflammatory process, cellular alterations hepatocytes stellate cells, hypercaloric diet, sedentarism aggravate prognosis of patients with Thus, understand modulation physiopathology it is necessary include organokines involved this process (adipokines, myokines, osteokines, hepatokines) their clinical relevance project future perspectives condition bring light new possibilities therapeutic approaches. Adipokines responsible for activation distinct signaling different tissues, such as insulin pro-inflammatory cytokines, which important balancing substances avoid MAFLD its progression. Abstract The association between sarcopenia and OA still presents many uncertainties. We aimed to assess whether is associated with occurrence of in US adults. conducted a cross-sectional study consisting 11,456 participants from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey 1999–2006. Sarcopenia was defined by low muscle mass. skeletal index (SMI) calculated as the appendicular mass divided body indexes (BMI) or weight. status assessed using self-reported questionnaire. evaluated multivariate regression models. In addition, subgroup interaction analysis were performed. when it BMI-adjusted SMI (OR = 1.23 [95% CI, 1.01, 1.51]; P 0.038) weight-adjusted 1.30 1.10, 1.55]; 0.003). Sarcopenia is an age-related syndrome marked by a gradual decline in skeletal muscle mass and function. While various factors influencing sarcopenia have been studied, the link between daily sedentary time remains underexplored. This study analyzed association sitting using data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES 2011–2018). Daily was assessed through questionnaires, while measured body index (BMI) adjusted appendicular (ASM). The relationship weighted logistic regression models smoothing curves. Stratified analyses interaction testing were employed to investigate population-specific characteristics of this association. Furthermore, chi-square test grouped used further analyze impact vigorous activity on two variables. included 9998 participants with complete information. fully model showed significant positive correlation prevalence (OR = 1.07, 95% CI: 1.03–1.10, P 0.0026). group ≥ 9 h had 90% higher risk compared < 4 1.90, 1.22–2.84, 0.0040). Smooth curve fitting analysis linear relationship. shows that non-Hispanic white men lower BMI (BMI 25) sarcopenia.
