The concentration of air pollution is gradually increasing every year so that daily skin exposure unavoidable. Dietary supplements and topical formulations currently represent the protective strategies to guard against effects on body skin. Unfortunately, there are not yet enough methods available measure effectiveness anti-pollution products Here, we present two ex vivo for measuring effect different cream skin: Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy autofluorescence excited by 785 nm using a confocal Raman microspectrometer (CRM). Smoke from one cigarette was used as model pollutant. EPR enables direct measurement free radicals in excised porcine after smoke exposure. measured vivo, which an indicator oxidative stress. Two antioxidants chelating agent base formulation commercial product containing antioxidant mixture were investigated. studies show epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) provided best protection stress both methods.

Melatonin, a product of tryptophan metabolism via serotonin, is molecule with an indole backbone that widely produced by bacteria, unicellular eukaryotic organisms, plants, fungi and all animal taxa. Aside from its role in the regulation circadian rhythms, it has diverse biological actions including cytoprotective responses other functions crucial for survival across different species. The latter properties are also shared metabolites kynuric products generated reactive oxygen species or phototransfomation induced ultraviolet radiation. Vitamins D related photoproducts originate phototransformation ∆5,7 sterols, which 7-dehydrocholesterol ergosterol examples. Their bonds B ring absorb solar radiation [290-315 nm, (UVB) radiation] resulting opening to produce previtamin D, referred as secosteroid. Air pollutants deteriorate the survival environment and endanger human health around world. A large number of studies have confirmed that air pollution jeopardizes multiple organs, such as cardiovascular, respiratory, central nervous systems. Skin is largest organ first barrier protects us from outside particulate matter (PM), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), volatile organic compounds (VOCs) will affect structure function skin bring about development inflammatory diseases (atopic dermatitis (AD), psoriasis), accessory (acne, alopecia), auto-immune (cutaneous lupus erythematosus(CLE) scleroderma), even tumors (melanoma, basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous-cell (SCC)). Oxidative stress, damage, microbiome dysbiosis, inflammation are pathogenesis stimulation. In this review, we summarize current evidence on effects possible mechanisms to provide strategies for future research.

Skin aging is a complex process involving structural and functional changes characterized by decrease in collagen content, reduced skin thickness, dryness, the formation of wrinkles. This underpinned multiple mechanisms including free radical theory, inflammation photoaging metabolic theory. The immune system, an indispensable part body’s defense mechanism, comprises macrophages, lymphocytes, dendritic cells, mast cells. These cells play pivotal role maintaining homeostasis responding to injury or infection. As age advances, along with various internal external environmental stimuli, may undergo senescence accelerated aging, cell division capability, increased mortality, gene expression patterns signaling pathways, altered functions. collectively impact overall function system. review summarizes relationship between immunity explores characteristics composition effects these on aging. Diesel particulate matter is one of the most dangerous environmental stressors affecting human health. Many plant-derived compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties have been proposed to protect skin from pollution damage. Curcumin (CUR) has a plethora pharmacological activities, including anticancer, antimicrobial, antioxidant. However, it low bioavailability due its difficult absorption rapid metabolism elimination. CUR encapsulation in nanotechnological systems combination biopotentiators such as piperine (PIP) can improve pharmacokinetics, stability activity. In this study, ethosomes (ETs) were investigated for PIP delivery damage induced by diesel matter. ETs produced different strategies characterized their size distribution photon correlation spectroscopy, morphology transmission electron microscopy, drug efficiency high-performance liquid chromatography. Franz cells enabled us evaluate vitro diffusion ETs. The results highlighted that promote permeation curcumin. studies carried out on activity demonstrated an increase power using separately loaded ETs, suggesting possible application prevention exogenous stressors. The skin, lung, and gut are important barrier organs that control how the body reacts to environmental stressors such as ultraviolet (UV) radiation, air pollutants, dietary components, microorganisms. aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) is a ligand-dependent transcription factor plays an role in maintaining homeostasis of organs. AhR was initially discovered for chemical carcinogens polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Activation pathways by PAHs leads increased DNA damage mutations which ultimately lead carcinogenesis. Ongoing evidence reveals ever-expanding AhR. Recently, has been linked immune systems interaction with development natural killer (NK) cells, regulatory T (T

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by compromised epidermal barrier and heightened immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels, often associated with filaggrin (FLG) gene mutations. Genetic factors like FLG mutations environmental influences, including microbial exposure pollutants, contribute to the disease’s progression, leading itchy, inflamed skin. AD frequently coexists allergic conditions, severely affecting quality of life. The pathogenesis involves complex interactions between genetic predispositions, immune responses, triggers. Despite advances, development effective treatments remains challenging due an incomplete understanding how influence pathways variability in presentation. Current biomarkers are insufficient fully capture complexity or predict therapeutic highlighting need for novel personalized approaches. Emerging therapies such as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy, stem regenerative medicine show promise addressing AD’s root causes. This review explores key aspects pathogenesis, focusing on dysfunction, mechanisms, innovative strategies improve patient outcomes.
