Sjögren's
syndrome
(SS)
is
a
chronic
autoimmune
disorder
that
primarily
affects
the
exocrine
glands.
Due
to
intricate
nature
of
disease
progression,
exact
mechanisms
underlying
SS
are
not
completely
understood.
Recent
research
has
highlighted
complex
interplay
between
immune
dysregulation
and
metabolic
abnormalities
in
inflammatory
diseases.
Notably,
lipid
metabolism
emerged
as
crucial
factor
modulation
function
progression
diseases,
including
SS.
This
review
explores
prevalence
dyslipidemia
SS,
emphasizing
its
role
onset,
prognosis
disease.
We
specifically
described
impact
altered
glands
association
with
disease-specific
features,
inflammation
glandular
dysfunction.
Additionally,
we
discussed
potential
clinical
implications
regulation,
polyunsaturated
fatty
acids
(PUFAs)
their
deficits
pathogenesis.

Sjogren's
syndrome
(SS)
is
a
chronic
autoimmune
disorder
that

exocrine

lacrimal
leading
to
dry
eye
disease
(DED).
DED
common
ocular
surface
millions
of
people
worldwide,
causing
discomfort,
visual
impairment,
and
even
blindness
in
severe
cases.
However,
there
no
definitive
cure
for
DED,
existing
treatments
primarily
relieve
symptoms.
Consequently,
an
urgent
need
innovative
therapeutic
strategies
based
on
the
pathophysiology
DED.
Mesenchymal
stem
cells
(MSCs)
have
emerged
as
promising
tool
various
disorders,
including
SS-related
(SS-DED).
A
intriguing
facet
MSCs
their
ability
produce
extracellular
vesicles
(EVs),
which
contain
bioactive
components
such
proteins,
lipids,
nucleic
acids.
These
molecules
play
key
role
facilitating
communication
between
modulating
wide
range
biological
processes.
Importantly,
MSC-derived
EVs
(MSC-EVs)

parent
cells,
immunomodulatory,

Sjögren’s
syndrome
is
a
multisystemic
autoimmune
disease
that
mainly
affects
the

causing
dryness
of
eyes
and
mouth
as
principal
symptoms.
Non-coding
RNAs
(ncRNAs),
once
regarded
genomic
“junk”,
are
now
appreciated
important
molecular
regulators
gene
expression,
not
least
in
other
diseases.
Here
we
review
research
into
causative
roles
microRNAs
(miRNAs),
long
non-coding
(lncRNAs),
circular
(circRNAs)
on
immunological
responses,
inflammation,
salivary
gland
epithelial
cell
function
patients.
These
ncRNAs
represent
promising
new
therapeutic
targets
for
treating
possibly
biomarkers
early
diagnosis.
