The stress response to the COVID-19 pandemic might differ between early and later stages. Longitudinal data on development of population mental health during is scarce. We have investigated trajectories predictors for change in a probability sample general Germany at beginning after 6 months pandemic. conducted longitudinal survey population-based German adults. current study analyzed from first assessment May 2020 (T1; N = 1,412) second November (T2; 743). Mental was assessed terms anxiety depression using Patient Health Questionnaire-4 (PHQ-4). outcomes T1 were compared with PHQ-4 norm data. Trajectories over time based outcome classifications scores. Predictors identified multiple regression analysis. In spring 2020, participants showed significantly higher scores as data, however, overall remained low also later. 6.6% respondents deterioration autumn entering subclinical clinical ranges, outweighing proportion people improved outcomes. Sociodemographic variables associated distress mainly not predictive T2. Even under prolonged pandemic-related stress, stable population. Further considerable subgroup experiencing should be monitored, order tailor prevention intervention efforts.

To examine the cultural limitations and implications in applicability of Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 8-items (DASS-8)-a shortened version DASS-21 recently introduced an Arab sample-this study evaluated its psychometric properties, including measurement invariance, among healthy subjects from United States, Australia, Ghana. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed good fit DASS-8 relative to a 12-item (DASS-12). Both DASS-12 were invariant at all levels across genders, employment status, students vs. non-students. The DASS-8/DASS-12 also expressed invariance configural metric countries, albeit scalar was not maintained due misspecification loadings Ghanian sample. Mann-Whitney U test significantly lower mental symptomatology on DASS measures than English-speaking respondents (both non-students). excellent internal consistency (coefficient alpha = 0.89), convergent validity-noted by high values item-total correlations (

Emotional eating (EE) is food consumption in response to feelings rather than hunger. EE related unhealthy intake and abdominal obesity (AO). However, little evidence exists about the association between dietary patterns (DPs) EE−AO interaction DPs. DPs allow describing combinations that people usually eat. We analyzed of with adults (≥18 years) AO (WC ≥ 80/90 cm women/men, respectively; n = 494; 66.8% women;) or without (n 269; 74.2% women) a cross-sectional study. Principal component analysis allowed identifying four from 40 groups (validated semiquantitative frequency questionnaire). Among subjects presenting AO, being “emotional/very-emotional eater” (emotional questionnaire) was negatively associated “Healthy” DP (fruits, vegetables, olive oil, oilseeds, legumes, fish, seafood) (OR:0.53; 95% CI: 0.33, 0.88, p 0.013) positively “Snacks fast food” (sweet bread, breakfast cereal, corn, potato, desserts, sweets, sugar, food) (OR:1.88; 1.17, 3.03, 0.010). eaters have significantly lower fiber intake, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, vitamin B1, C, while they had higher sodium, lipids, mono polyunsaturated fatty acids, saturated fats. In non-AO participants, not any (p > 0.05). conclusion, AO.

Methods was cross-sectional 580 persons medicine, at Tanta University, Egypt conducted over one month last partial (October 2020). A self-administered structured questionnaire consisted five parts used (sociodemographic factors, COVID-19-related parameters, nutrition-related information pandemic, scale, scale). Results More than two-fifths students, employees, staff (45.2%, 45.5%, 44.2%, respectively) stated that their weight increased result lockdown. 50.8% 42.5% 54.6% were moderate groups. Similarly, majority reported levels stress(84%, 80.8%, 76.1% respectively). The total score positively correlated with scores (r = 0.13, p 0.001*). Internet addiction (IA) is widespread, comorbid with other conditions, and commonly undetected, which may impede recovery. The Addiction Test (IAT) widely used to evaluate IA among healthy respondents, less agreement on its dimensional structure. This study investigated the factor structure, invariance, predictive validity, criterion reliability of IAT Spanish women eating disorders (EDs, N = 123), Chinese school children (N 1072), Malay/Chinese university students 1119). In children, four factors eigen values > 1 explained 50.2% variance, several items cross-loading more than two three failing load any factor. Among 19 tested models, CFA revealed excellent fit a unidimensional six-item ED (χ2(7) 8.695, 35.038; p 0.275, 0.001; CFI 0.998, 981; TLI 0.996, 0.960; RMSEA 0.045, 0.060; SRMR 0.0096, 0.0241). It was perfectly invariant across genders, academic grades, majors, internet use activities, nationalities (Malay vs. Chinese), female anorexia nervosa, albeit it variant at scalar level in tests involving EDs, signifying increased tendency for pathological overeating. correlated effects performance greater original (r -0.106, < 0.01 r -0.78, 0.05), indicating superior validity. robust brief measure diseased individuals from different cultures.

The main medical engines were searched articles from May 1981 2021 capture all studies focused effect exercise or sport. Out 81 acquired, six eligible randomized controlled trials (RCTs) included qualitative analysis. Four RCTs observed that supplementation had significantly improved strength, repetitions failure (muscle endurance), submaximal performance index, lean body mass, reduced fat. Among remaining two trials, one reported significant rate glycogen resynthesis during post-exercise recovery; however, other failed do so. Those weak, with minimal sample size (<10).
