A majority of agricultural activities are conducted under fragile lands or set-up. The growth and development crops negatively affected due to several biotic abiotic stresses. In the current situation, research efforts have been diverted toward short-term approaches that can improve crop performance changing environments. Seed treatment priming technology is in a transition phase its popularity among resource-poor farmers. Suitable policy intervention boost low-cost techniques implement them on larger scale developing countries harness maximum benefits sustainable food production systems. Primed seeds high vigor germination rate help seedling successful stand establishment stress conditions. This review attempted assess different seed terms resource use efficiency, productivity, cost–benefit balance, environmental impacts. Moreover, comprehensive study mechanisms (physiological biochemical) also elaborated. detailed examination applications diverse agroecosystems our understanding adaptive management natural resources.

Environmental classifications are of paramount importance for assessing the impacts land-use changes, prioritizing conservation efforts, and developing effective management strategies to mitigate negative human activities. The aim our research was provide as complete an analysis possible studies that have been carried out using Braun-Blanquet approach. global review based on approach includes 1168 papers conducted PRISMA 2009 methodological recommendations, strict criteria selection/quality papers, modern methods data visualization VOSviewer software developed by Nees Jan van Eck Ludo Waltman (Centre Science Technology Studies (CWTS) Leiden University in Netherlands) (version 1.6.18), which ensures a representative sample, minimization subjective judgements, reliability conclusions. It noted number publications is growing exponentially. This indication scientific interest this methodology its continuous further development. Based detailed keywords, main directions challenges identified. These include improving conceptual foundations approach; improvement regional vegetation classifications, synthesizing them producing comprehensive classification large areas basis biodiversity sustainable land use; expansion geography; compilation updating databases phytosociological data; dynamics vegetation; discussion important problem continuity discreteness context ecological classifications; mapping. top 20 journals publishing most cited articles were identified, well whose high citation rate due high-quality articles. bibliographic network has shown structure relationships not constant changed significantly. authors’ publication activity showed vast majority researchers low published only one three papers. A peculiarity also emerges: if all authors concentrated Eurasia, then actively outside Eurasia. study forest should be emphasized. In case, integrated into typologies, increasing their validity environmental relevance.

Abstract The global movement for ecosystem restoration has gained momentum in response to the Bonn Challenge (2010) and UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (UNDER, 2021–2030). While several science‐based guidelines exist aid achieving successful outcomes, significant variation remains outcomes of projects. Some this disparity can be attributed unexpected responses components planned interventions. Given complex nature ecosystems, we propose that concepts from Complex Systems Science (CSS) are linked non‐linearity, such as regime shifts, ecological resilience feedbacks, should employed help explain an perspective. Our framework, Explore Before You Restore, illustrates how these impact by influencing degradation recovery trajectories. Additionally, incorporating CSS into typical project cycle through a assessment phase suggest need is explicitly included improve outcomes. To facilitate inclusion make it workable practitioners, describe indicators methods available teams answer key questions up assessment. In doing so, identify outstanding science policy tasks needed further operationalize restoration. Synthesis applications . By illustrating non‐linear threshold behaviour trajectories, our framework Restore demonstrates incorporate thinking We argue cycles, more broadly, international guidelines, may significantly

Agriculture is central to overall development of humankind and plays a decisive role in the timely realization several UN-Sustainable Development Goals. Nevertheless, agriculture largest nonpoint source pollution primarily due rampant use agrochemicals, contributes ~34% annual greenhouse gases emission globally. Agricultural practices are also one major drivers global biodiversity loss, exerts heavy footprint on water amounting 70% world's freshwater withdrawal annually. As per projections Food Organization United Nations, agricultural production has be doubled by year 2050 feed population ~9.7 billion. Humic substances (HS), as important environmental components, are essential to soil health and agricultural sustainability. The usage of low-rank coal (LRC) for energy generation has declined considerably due the growing popularity renewable sources gas. However, their potential amendment aimed maintain quality productivity deserves more recognition. LRC, a highly heterogeneous material in nature, contains large quantities HS may effectively help restore physicochemical, biological, ecological functionality soil. Multiple emerging studies support view that LRC its derivatives can positively impact microclimate, nutrient status, organic matter turnover. Moreover, phytotoxic effects some pollutants be reduced by subsequent application. Broad geographical availability, relatively low cost, good technical applicability offer advantage easy fulfilling conditioner requirements worldwide. This review analyzes emphasizes numerous forms/combinations amelioration crop production. A great benefit would systematic investment strategy implicating safe utilization long-term application sustainable
