Granular and powdery clinoptilolite tuff samples from Beli Plast, Eastern Rhodopes, Bulgaria, were coated with metal hydroxides (Fe, Al, Fe-Mg) by two-step alkalization. The prepared sorbents tested for As(III) As(V) uptake a modeled water solution an arsenic concentration of 44 μg/L. granular sorbent was used in the sorption columns showed high efficiency purification slightly polluted waters. calculated maximum capacity optimal conditions is 32.9 μg/g. adsorption proceeds according to Langmuir model. mechanism most likely inner-sphere complexation. sorbents’ complete regeneration achieved NaOH treatment. results experiments show good possibilities obtaining ranging below limit detection 3.8 µg/L, which significantly lower value than permitted 10 μg/L close national environmental quality standard shallow shows Fe- or Mg,Fe-coated sorbents. are highly efficient purifying 400 liters initial mg/L either arsenate arsenite per 1 kilogram at rate 2.4–2.0 L/h/kg. powdered batch system under “static” much higher one. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence innovative mineral–organic mixtures containing zeolite composites produced from fly ashes and lignite or leonardite on fractional composition soil organic matter in sandy loam under two-year pot experiments with maize. Abstract In this study, a fly ash (FA), primarily composed of SiO 2 , Al O 3 Fe MgO, and CaO, as synergistic additive (1–5 wt%) was added to enhance the effectiveness an intumescent flame retardant (IFR) system (25 in polypropylene (PP). The composites were characterized by various tests study thermal, combustion, mechanical properties. Experimental results revealed that both IFR IFR/FA additions led early degradation at lower rates, with increased residual mass values. thermal conductivity coefficient up 16.9% additions. While sample containing only met UL 94 V‐0 requirements limiting oxygen index (LOI) value 30.0%, addition 1% 2% FA satisfied criteria LOI values 32.8% 34.9%, respectively. Cone calorimeter indicated had significant positive impacts on burning characteristics PP. Furthermore, incorporation reinforced char layer formed IFR, thereby enhancing fire resistances composites. The studies aimed to test the adsorption capacity of two silica-enriched porous materials, synthetic Na-X zeolite and Mn-containing carbon composite, towards Pb(II) Zn(II) ions in single mixed systems presence diclofenac (DCF) (or) poly(acrylic acid) (PAA). was characterized by a well-developed surface area 728 m2/g pore diameter 1.73 nm, while composite exhibited 268 7.37 respectively. found be more efficient than (75–212 mg/g) adsorbing heavy metal both bimetallic (322–333 mg/g). In this study, municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) fly ash was subjected to mineral carbonation with the aim of investigating CO2 sequestration in material. The conducted study follows trend searching for alternatives natural materials ability sequestrate CO2. MSWI allowed storage up 0.25 mmol g−1. Next, both carbonated and uncarbonated ashes were activated using an alkaline activation method by means two different agents, namely potassium hydroxide silicate or sodium silicate. Mineral caused a drop compressive strength alkali-activated materials, probably due formation and/or carbonates. maximum obtained 3.93 MPa after 28 days 8 mol dm−3 KOH (ratio 3:1). relative ratio hydroxide:silicate also influenced mechanical properties materials. Abstract The major cause of soil degradation (contamination, erosion, compaction) is closely linked to agriculture, i.e., unsustainable agriculture practices, which are reflected in the depletion organic carbon pool, loss biodiversity, and reduction C sink capacity soils. Therefore, agricultural practice applying carbon-rich materials into an attractive solution for climate change mitigation ecosystem sustainability. paper aimed evaluate effectiveness addition organic-mineral mixtures mineral salts (NPK), including exogenous matter (lignite) mixed with zeolite-carbon (NaX-C) or zeolite-vermiculite (NaX-Ver) composites restoration soils contaminated PAHs. zeolite fertilizer resulted a significant PAH levels corresponding plant tissue content, without compromising yields, compared control separate application NPK. A Significant correlation between PAHs pH H2O , KCl EC dehydrogenase activity (DhA) was found lignite significantly reduced content straws, especially following NaX-C. However, case grains, highest percentage comparison NPK observed dose NaX-Ver.

The main outcome of this research was to demonstrate the opportunity obtain a stable and well-ordered structure MCM-41 synthesized from fly ash. A series bimetallic (Cu/Mn) catalysts supported at were prepared via grinding method investigated in catalytic toluene combustion reaction show material's potential application. It proved, that Cu/Mn ratio had crucial effect on activity materials. best performance achieved with sample Cu/Mn(2.5/2.5), for which temperature 50% conversion found be 300 °C.
