Gluten has multiple harmful effects that compromise human health, not only in gluten-dependent diseases but also non-gluten-affected chronic inflammatory conditions. After consumption, the indigestible gluten peptides are modified by luminal microbial transglutaminase or transported through gut epithelium to interact with highly populated mucosal immune cells. As a disruptor of permeability, tight junction integrity, allowing foreign immunogenic molecules reach internal compartments. Gliadin distributed systemically remote organs, where they encounter endogenous tissue transglutaminase. Following post-translational deamidation transamidation, become and pro-inflammatory, inducing organ dysfunction pathology. Cross-reactivity sequence homology between gluten/gliadin epitopes may contribute molecular mimicry autoimmunity induction. A gluten-free diet can prevent these phenomena various mechanisms. proof concept, withdrawal alleviates disease activity inflammatory, metabolic, autoimmune conditions, even neurodegeneration. We recommend combining Mediterranean diets leverage advantages both. Before recommending for non-gluten-dependent patients should be asked about symptomatology screened celiac-associated antibodies. The current list gluten-induced includes celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis, ataxia, allergy, non-celiac sensitivity. In view being universal pro-inflammatory molecule, other autoinflammatory neurodegenerative conditions investigated potential avoidance.

Nutrition and metabolism modify epigenetic signatures like histone acetylation DNA methylation. Histone methylation in the central nervous system (CNS) can be altered by bioactive nutrients gut microbiome via gut-brain axis, which turn modulate neuronal activity behavior. Notably, microbiome, with more than 1000 bacterial species, collectively contains almost three million functional genes whose products interact millions of human marks 30,000 a dynamic manner. However, genetic makeup shapes composition, food/nutrient metabolism, landscape, as well. Here, we first discuss effect changes microbial structure composition shaping specific alterations brain their role onset progression major mental disorders. Afterward, potential interactions among maternal diet/environmental factors, nutrition, gastrointestinal roles accelerating or delaying severe illnesses will discussed. We also provide an overview association between oxidative stress, inflammation through mechanisms. Finally, present some underlying mechanisms involved mediating influence probiotics on health modifications.

Recent evidence has suggested that changes in maternal gut microbiota early life may generate neurobiological consequences associated with psychiatric-related abnormalities. However, the number of studies on humans investigating this problem is limited, and preclinical findings sometimes conflict. Therefore, we run a meta-analysis to examine whether disturbance (MMD) during neurodevelopment might affect offspring adulthood. We found thirteen studies, from set 459 records selected by strategy registered PROSPERO (#289224), target evaluated behavioral outcomes rodents generated dams submitted perinatal enteric perturbation. Adipose tissue dysfunction, which is associated with an increased risk of colorectal cancer (CRC), a significant factor in the pathophysiology obesity. Obesity-related inflammation and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling promote metastasis (CRCM) by shaping tumor microenvironment (TME). When CRC occurs, metabolic symbiosis cells recruits adjacent adipocytes into TME to supply energy. Meanwhile, abundant immune cells, from adipose blood, are recruited TME, stimulated pro-inflammatory factors triggers chronic local TME. Dysregulated ECM proteins cell surface adhesion molecules enhance further increase contractibility between stromal promotes epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). EMT increases migration invasion surrounding tissues or vessels accelerates CRCM. Colorectal symbiotic microbiota also plays important role promotion In this review, we provide its contributions CRC, special emphasis on adipocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, T ECM, gut progression their microenvironment. We highlight interactions potential therapeutic approaches target these interactions.

Introduction The timing of maternal exposure to air pollution is crucial define metabolic changes in the offspring. Here we aimed determine most critical period particulate matter (PM 2.5 ) that impairs offspring's energy metabolism and gut microbiota composition. Methods Unexposed female male C57BL/6J mice were mated. PM or filtered (FA) occurred only gestation /FA) lactation (FA/PM ). We studied offspring both genders. Results during increased body weight (BW) at birth from weaning young adulthood. Leptin levels, food intake, Agrp, Npy levels hypothalamus also Ikbke, Tnf /FA. Males FA/PM group protected these phenotypes showing higher O 2 consumption Ucp1 brown adipose tissue. In offspring, did not see BW weaning. However, adult females /FA displayed leptin despite expenditure thermogenesis. This showed a slight increase intake. , BW, elevated. mild To if could affect offspring’s microbiota, analyzed alpha diversity by Shannon Simpson indexes beta Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) 30 weeks. Unlike males, led adiposity maintenance this age. Gestation was associated with decreased Discussion Our data support more harmful than lactation. Male had an unfavorable phenotype older age, kept adiposity. Ultimately, our highlight importance controlling pollution, especially gestation.
