Abstract The Lamiaceae family, encompassing diverse plant species, holds significant value in food, medicine, and cosmetics. Within this Pentapleura subulifera Cyclotrichium glabrescens , relatively unexplored were investigated for their chemical composition, antioxidant capacity, enzyme‐inhibiting effects. composition of hexane, methanolic, aqueous extracts from P. C. analyzed using LC‐ESI‐MS/MS the non‐polar hexane fraction was via GC‐MS. potential determined through radical scavenging, reducing power metal chelating assays. Additionally, inhibitory activity against six enzymes – acetylcholinesterase (AChE), butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), tyrosinase, amylase, glucosidase examined. extract methanolic exhibited elevated phenolic content at 129.47 mg gallic acid equivalent (GAE)/g 55.97 GAE/g, respectively. Chemical profiling constituents two species resulted identification a total twenty compounds. majority which belonged to flavonoids quinic derivatives, primarily concentrated methanol extracts. Among all assays, demonstrated superior activity, with highest recorded 404.93 trolox (TE)/g cupric capacity (CUPRAC) test. Meanwhile, AChE 2.71 galanthamine (GALAE)/g, followed by 2.41 GALAE/g. These findings unequivocally establish notable enzyme extracts, underscoring as source valuable natural antioxidants.

Cav., an aromatic and medicinal plant widely used as a spice, well hydrodistillation residual water (HRW), discarded by-product EO hydrodistillation. The phytochemical characterization HRW was assessed by GC-MS HPLC-PDA-ESI-MSn, respectively. DPPH, ABTS, FRAP assays were antioxidant properties. anti-inflammatory potential evaluated using lipopolysaccharide-stimulated macrophages assessing NO production, iNOS, pro-IL-1β protein levels. Cell migration scratch wound assay, etoposide-induced senescence assess modulation senescence. is mainly characterized carvacrol, while predominantly rosmarinic acid. exerts stronger in DPPH assays, whereas most active sample ABTS assay. Both extracts reduce NO, pro-IL-1β. has no on cell presents anti-senescence effects. In opposition, reduces induces cellular Overall, our study highlights interesting properties for both extracts, being interest ingredient relevant cancer therapy.

"Sulmona Red Garlic" is a well-known Italian traditional product. Bulbs, used for culinary purposes, have been largely investigated their medicinal properties whereas aerial bulbils are usually removed as waste material. Here, the first time, chemical composition and biological of hydroalcoholic extract from were investigated. Complementary information on metabolite obtained using both NMR based untargeted HPLC-DAD targeted methodologies. The analysis revealed presence sugars, organic acids, amino organosulphur compounds (methiin, alliin, allicin cycloalliin), other secondary metabolites. In particular, methiin alliin identified time in spectra bulbil garlic extracts. Polyphenol content was determined by analysis: catechin, chlorogenic acid, gallic acid turned out to be most abundant phenolics. Hydroalcoholic blocked cell proliferation colon cancer line HCT116 with an IC50 352.07 µg/mL, while it non-toxic myoblast C2C12. addition, caused seedling germination reduction two edible herbaceous dicotyledon species, namely Cichorium intybus C. endivia. Moreover, same reduced gene expression TNF-α (tumor necrosis factor), HIF1-α (hypoxia-inducible VEGFA (vascular endothelial growth transient receptor potential (TRP) M8 (TRPM8) indicating ability contrast development through angiogenic pathway. Final, silico experiments also carried supporting effects compounds, particularly which may directly interact TRPM8. results here reported suggest use often considered product source phytotherapeutic remedies.

HPLC-ESI-Q-TOF-MS-MS analysis allowed characterization 41 metabolites. was active against acetylcholinesterase. All extracts alpha-amylase alpha-glucosidase enzymes, ethyl acetate being enzyme, showed inhibition. A plethora metabolites bonded more energetically assayed enzymes sites based on silico studies. R. used study exhibited cytotoxicity HT29 cells. IC50 lower (506.99 ug/mL). Based heat map, whereby flavonoids found to be greater proportion extracts, it can concluded flavonoid portion contributed activity.

Little or no information is available concerning online high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) antioxidants and the antibiofilm effect of Leonurus cardiaca . Five distinct extractions methanolic, ethyl acetate, dichloromethane, hexane, water were obtained from L. In online‐HPLC‐antioxidant analysis all examined samples, rosmarinic acid emerged as primary antioxidant, registering concentrations ranging 6 to 15 ppm at wavelengths 517 734 nm. Notably, extract exhibited robust antioxidant activity vitro. Regarding acetylcholinesterase butrylcholinesterase inhibition, n‐hexane superior inhibition with values 3.08 5.83 galanthamine equivalent, respectively. Except for extract, tested extracts (at a concentration 20 μg/mL) substantial inhibitory against biofilm formation, in many cases 80%, reached even 94.52% Escherichia coli Although less vigorous, also acted mature (inhibition up 76.50% Staphylococcus aureus ). They could work metabolism inside an immature biofilm, percentages 93.18% (vs. Pseudomonas aeruginosa ) Acinetobacter baumannii ), Considering its significant antioxidants, enzyme antimicrobial activity, emerges promising candidate therapeutic potential.
