In this study, amorphous solid dispersions (ASDs) of pterostilbene (PTR) with polyvinylpyrrolidone polymers (PVP K30 and VA64) were prepared through milling, affirming the dispersion PTR via X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Subsequent analysis DSC thermograms, augmented using mathematical equations such as Gordon–Taylor Couchman–Karasz equations, facilitated determination predicted values for glass transition (Tg), PTR’s miscibility PVP, strength interaction polymers. Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) validated interactions maintaining state identified involved functional groups, namely, 4′–OH and/or –CH groups C=O group PVP. The study culminated in evaluating impact amorphization on water solubility, release profile pH 6.8, vitro permeability (PAMPA-GIT BBB methods). addition, it was determined how improving solubility affects increase antioxidant (ABTS, DPPH, CUPRAC, FRAP assays) neuroprotective (inhibition cholinesterases: AChE BChE) properties. apparent pure ~4.0 µg·mL−1 showed no activity considered assays. For obtained ASDs (PTR-PVP30/PTR-PVPVA64, respectively) improvements (410.8 383.2 µg·mL−1), profile, permeability, properties (ABTS: IC50 = 52.37/52.99 μg·mL−1, DPPH: 163.43/173.96 CUPRAC: IC0.5 122.27/129.59 FRAP: 95.69/98.57 μg·mL−1), effects (AChE: 39.1%/36.2%, BChE: 76.9%/73.2%) confirmed.

Pomegranate flower extract, rich in anthocyanins, demonstrates beneficial health-promoting properties such as an anti-diabetic and antioxidant effect, among others. However, the potential may be hindered by low stability of anthocyanins. Therefore, aim our study was to assess whether stabilizing carriers, namely HP-γ-cyclodextrin (HP-γ-CD), α-cyclodextrin (α-CD), Methyl-β-cyclodextrin (Me-β-CD), Inulin (Inu) Arabic gum (AGu) affect antidiabetic activity lyophilized pomegranate how they influence stability, release profile, systems exhibit prebiotic activity. Interactions between extract these factors were analyzed using FT-IR. The structures examined through microscopic imaging while for prepared systems, determined confirmed inhibition α-amylase α-glucosidase; expressed DPPH CUPRAC assays. content pelargonidin-3,5-glucoside assessed HPLC method. profiles a medium at pH = 6.8 1.2, after subjecting high temperatures (T 90 °C). evaluated 10 bacterial strains (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei, plantarum, brevis rhamnosus gg, reuteri, Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactococcus lactis, fermentum lf, Streptococcus thermophilus). Sambuci folium (elderberry leaves) have been used in traditional medicine, mainly externally, to treat skin diseases and wounds. Therefore, the aim of this study was screen biological activity elderberry leaves (antioxidant potential possibility inhibition tyrosinase hyaluronidase enzymes) combined with phytochemical analysis. For purpose, a analysis carried out. Elderberry 12 varieties (“Sampo”, “Obelisk”, “Dwubarwny”, “Haschberg”, “Haschberg 1”, “Koralowy”, “Sambo”, “Black Beauty”, Tower”, “Golden hybrid”, “Samyl”, “Samyl 1”) two growth stages. The compounds from selected groups, phenolic acids (chlorogenic acid) flavonols (quercetin), were chromatographically determined hydroalcoholic leaf extracts. All tested extracts showed antioxidant effects, but most promising potential: very high content (TPC = 61.85 mg GAE/g), (e.g., DPPH IC50 1.88 mg/mL; CUPRAC IC0.5 0.63 mg/mL) optimal anti-inflammatory (inhibition 41.28%) activities indicated for older “Sampo” variety. Additionally, extract obtained hybrid” variety facilitated treatment wounds scratch test. In summary, best multidirectional pro-health effect treating inflammation specified II (leaves during flowering period); however, wound noted as rich chlorogenic acid younger

Evernia prunastri (L.) Ach. (Parmeliaceae), an edible lichen commonly known as oakmoss, was traditionally used by Egyptians to make bread. In this study, the ethyl-acetate (EtOAc) extract of E. investigated for its potential therapeutic applications in diabetes mellitus, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, oxidative stress, bacterial infections. The exhibited significant vitro enzyme inhibition activities, including anti-amylase anti-glucosidase activities linked anti-cholinesterase anti-tyrosinase associated with diseases. antioxidant activity evaluated through multiple assays, free radical scavenging (DPPH ABTS), reducing power (CUPRAC FRAP), metal chelation, phosphomolybdenum methods, demonstrating strong stress relief potential. antibacterial properties were also confirmed testing, showing efficacy against a range strains. Total phenolic flavonoid contents quantified, while chemical profile EtOAc determined LC-HRMS/MS analysis. composition predominantly characterized depsides (evernic acid atranorin), acids (orsellinic acid), dibenzofurans, revealing diverse array bioactive secondary metabolites. demonstrated broad spectrum biological inhibition, effects, properties. This study highlights functional food, providing rich source compounds numerous health-promoting it suggests relevance chronic diseases such diabetes, Alzheimer's,
