Paeoniflorin (PF), which is the main component of Paeonia lactiflora Pall extract, one traditional Chinese medicines. The pharmacological effects associated with PF include antioxidant, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antidepressant-like and neuroprotective effects. Our previous studies had revealed that protected melanocytes inhibited photodamage through suppression oxidative stress (OS). As OS plays a vital role in progression variety diseases, capacity for to suppress may exert important upon them. However, no review exists on these antioxidant as related various diseases. Therefore, this we summarized involved examining molecular mechanisms PF. Through its inhibit OS, has been shown beneficial several systems including nervous, cardiac/vascular, digestive, respiratory well specific diseases such diabetes, autoimmune, pregnancy related, ocular, kidney, dermatology, along distal flap necrosis, postoperative adhesions, hearing loss. Such findings provide new insights directions future research directed at development natural treatment clinical

Background Apatinib is a small molecule anti-angiogenesis targeted drug that has demonstrated significant efficacy as late-line treatment in advanced gastric cancer phase 3 clinical trials. This study amid to evaluate the correlation between dose exposure intensity and safety of apatinib cancer. Methods We conducted an observational, retrospective cohort patients with who received therapy Beijing Friendship Hospital affiliated Capital Medical University June 1, 2018, 30, 2021. Dose (DEI) was defined product continuous medication time. Patients were assigned high-dose (HDEI) low-dose (LDEI) cohorts. The primary endpoint progression-free survival (PFS), secondary endpoints overall (OS) safety. relationship HDEI LDEI outcomes analyzed by using Kaplan-Meier curve χ 2 test. Results 61 enrolled into two median PFS (mPFS) 6.50 months (95% confidence interval (CI) [4.80-9.20]) 4.10 CI [3.70-5.20]), OS (mOS) 10.70 [9.20-18.50]) 7.50 [6.80-9.30]) for cohorts, respectively. mPFS 5.85 [5.00-7.00]) 4.60 [4.10-5.90]), mOS 9.60 [9.10-12.40]) 7.60 [7.20-10.20]) 250 mg 500 6.65 [5.90-9.20]) [3.90-5.20]), 11.20 [7.20-9.60])for long time short most common TRAEs any grade hypertension, proteinuria, neutrophil count decreased. incidence 3-4 adverse reactions higher than (P=0.0016). Conclusion significantly positively correlated intensity, can prolong OS. Early application (250 mg/d) improve patients’ tolerability, are controllable.

Gastric cancer (GC) ranks fifth in incidence and fourth cancer-related mortality worldwide. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are highly oxidative oxygen-derived products that have crucial roles cell signaling regulation maintaining internal balance. ROS closely associated with the occurrence, development, treatment of GC. This review summarizes recent findings on sources bidirectional regulatory effects GC discusses various modalities for related to induction. In addition, by natural small molecule compounds highest potential development applications anti-GC research is summarized. The aim accelerate clinical application modulating levels as a therapeutic strategy

Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and the unfolded protein response (UPR) play critical roles in tumorigenesis, cancer progression, drug resistance. Persistent activation of ER system enhances survival capacities malignant tumor cells, including increased proliferation, invasion, resistance to treatment. Dysregulation function resultant is a common cellular therapies may lead cell death. Currently, growing evidence suggests that Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), either as monotherapy or combination with other treatments, offers significant advantages preventing cancer, inhibiting growth, reducing surgical complications, improving sensitivity, mitigating drug-induced damage. Some these natural products have even entered clinical trials primary complementary anticancer agents. In this review, we summarize effects TCM monomers/natural on gastrointestinal (GI) tumors explore their mechanisms through modulation. We believe ongoing laboratory research development TCM-based hold considerable potential for advancing future treatments.
