Background: Online education became the new normal during COVID-19 pandemic. However, number of studies exploring potential advantages/disadvantages e-learning in pharmacy courses is limited. Study aim: to propose a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis according students’ perspectives. Methods: A narrative review was conducted examine student pharmacist perspectives on e-learning. Results: Diverse strengths weaknesses (internal environment) opportunities (external were identified, which grouped into categories, such as (1) well-being (e.g., access classes anywhere vs. psychological or physical disorders); (2) teachers materials more diverse/interesting audiovisual too challenging materials); (3) technologies strategies, gamification barriers internet); (4) classes/training versatile/immediate eventual presence other persons online classes); (5) faculty/school availability technical support). Conclusion: Overall, seems be suitable for students, although diverse challenges should addressed, students lack standards. Pharmacy schools regularly identify/define implement measures reinforce well solve weaknesses.

Background In recent years, the use of digital technology in education health care professionals has surged, partly driven by COVID-19 pandemic. However, there is still a need for focused research to establish evidence its effectiveness. Objective This study aimed define gaps efficacy and identify priority areas where future potential contribute our understanding education. Methods We used 2-stage approach priorities. First, an umbrella review literature (published between 2020 2023) was performed build on existing work. Second, expert consensus questions obtained using modified Delphi method. Results A total 8857 potentially relevant papers were identified. Using PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses) methodology, we included 217 full review. All either systematic reviews or meta-analyses. 151 recommendations extracted from papers. These analyzed, recategorized, consolidated create final list 63 questions. From these, process with 42 experts produce top-five rated priorities: (1) How do measure learning transfer into clinical setting? (2) can optimize artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep facilitate training? (3) What are methodological requirements high-quality rigorous studies assessing outcomes education? (4) does design interventions (eg, format modality) professionals’ training curriculum affect outcomes? (5) should field professions’ be defined standardized? Conclusions provides prioritized care, which will researchers, educators, providers, funding agencies. Additional proposals discussed regarding next steps needed advance this agenda, aiming promote meaningful practical technologies drive excellence
