Nowadays, there is considerable attention toward the use of food waste from processing as possible sources compounds with health properties, such anticancer activity. An example tomato processing, which responsible for generating a remarkable amount (leaves, peel, seeds). Therefore, our goal was to evaluate potential property extracts, in particular "Datterino" (DT) and "Piccadilly" (PT), study their phytochemical composition. Liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) results showed that these extracts are rich alkaloids, flavonoids, fatty acids, lipids, terpenes. Furthermore, activity evaluated vitro by MTT assay. In particular, percentage cell viability assessed olfactory ensheathing cells (OECs), glial type system, SH-SY5Y, neuroblastoma line. All (aqueous ethanolic) did not lead any significant change on OECs when compared control. Instead, SH-SY5Y we observed decrease viability, confirming activity; this more evident ethanolic extracts. conclusion, leaves could be regarded valuable source bioactive compounds, suitable various applications food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical fields.

The prevalence of degenerative diseases has been escalating due to the mounting presence oxidative stress conditions, characterized by elevated levels reactive oxygen species (ROS). Oxidative triggers genetic alterations, structural modifications, and progression various disorders, including cancer, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis. Consequently, modulation redox homeostasis attenuation through activity antioxidant compounds play crucial roles. Chrysanthemum indicum L., an herb with rich historical usage for alleviating diverse discomforts stress-related ailments, possesses potential properties. Nevertheless, precise mechanism underlying its efficacy remains poorly understood. In this study, chrysanthemum flower ethanol extract was investigated assessing ability inhibit 2,2-dyphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals. Additionally, detected present in flowers were computationally docked key macromolecular receptors involved (ROS) production, namely Cytochrome P450 (CP450) NADPH oxidase (NO). findings revealed that ethanolic displayed inhibitory against radicals at a concentration 1.35 µg/mL, which is comparable vitamin C (0.7 µg/mL). Moreover, bioactive flowers, 3-hydroxyspirost-8-en-11-one, ingenol 3-hexadecanoate, Ergosta-5,22-dien-3-ol acetate, subjected docking simulations CP450 NO receptors. binding-free energies (BFEs) acquired compound 3-Hydroxyspirost-8-en-11-one determined be -12.7 kcal/mol -12.4 receptors, respectively. Similarly, Ingenol 3-hexadecanoate exhibited BFE values -9.5 -10.7 kcal/mol, while acetate BFEs -8.9 -8.1 contrast, control substances 5-fluorouracil (FLU) dextromethorphan (DEX) demonstrated -4.9 -6.5 respectively, each receptor. Collectively, our suggest holds promise as natural source preventing diseases, cancer diabetes.
