By using text mining techniques, this study identifies the topics of sustainable consumption that are important during COVID-19 pandemic. An Application Programming Interface (API) streaming method was used to extract data from Twitter. A total 14,591 tweets were collected Twitter API. However, after cleaning, 13,635 considered for analysis. The objectives identify (1) users tweet about and (2) detect emotion-based sentiments in tweets. Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) algorithm topic modeling Louvain semantic network clustering. NRC emotion lexicon sentiment LDA model discovers six topics: organic food consumption, waste, vegan food, tourism, transport, energy consumption. While detects four clusters—lifestyle climate change, responsible renewable energy, analysis results show more positive emotions among than negative ones. contributes existing literature by providing a fresh perspective on various interconnected bring global level.

Orientation: This article drew from an interpretivist research orientation.Research purpose: study aimed at contextualising domestic tourism as a strategic tool with which the sector can recover coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in South Africa.Motivation for study: The impact of COVID-19 on economy, and particular, has been devastating Africa. Given historical overreliance international receipts, importance was highlighted during reduced lockdown levels. therefore motivated by potential this market to offset some losses times uncertainty.Research design, approach method: involved qualitative design where in-depth, semistructured interviews were conducted purposefully selected key resource stakeholders (n = 20) tourism. Effective decision-making in tourism destinations relies significantly on employing suitable indicators for policy design and impact evaluation. However, the adoption of sustainability-focused remains constrained field cultural tourism.
