Technological transitions in the education sector of developing economies are faced with a range barriers, involving resource scarcity, socio-cultural concerns, and issues related to management policy. The popularity Industry 4.0 has prompted Education (EDUC4), an approach learning that involves transformation using advanced technologies. While recent work reported comprehensive list barriers EDUC4 implementation, particularly economies, further analysis identify those priority remains gap. Thus, this addresses gap by introducing novel methodological extension decision-making trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method following integration Fermatean fuzzy sets (FFS). FFS, compared other environments, could capture higher levels uncertainties associated when eliciting judgments necessary for DEMATEL. Such is aided maximum mean de-entropy (MMDE) algorithm, which analytically determines threshold value crucial constructing prominence-relation map Following its application evaluating implementation Philippine universities, critical lack training resources, costs, insufficiency available technologies, skills human knowledge gap, complexity platforms. Among set, cost resources deemed most prominent ones. statistical test on impact addressing two shows barrier costs yields statistically more favorable results regarding mitigation barriers. Although these insights may contain idiosyncrasies, they can serve as starting points discussion relevant economies. These practical contributions advance development analytical tools under uncertainty handle pressing problems such implementation.

Introduction The fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0 (I.D. 4.0), has radically empowered professionals to revamp skills and technologies, match ever-evolving industry demands. Education (E.D. 4.0) is an integral education framework, strategically designed align with I.D. needs. present work presents high-level insights on mapping E.D. 4.0, by successfully analyzing the four key existing components of namely, learning methods, competencies, infrastructure information communication technologies (ICT). Methods Research questions are formulated along themes aiming standardize framework identify effectiveness implementation challenges. These posed addressed performing exhaustive bibliometric analysis associated literature, clustering relevant publications field, year, geography. We employed search engines Scopus, Science Direct, IEEE in a period between January June 2022. Results Network maps evidence elements no formal universally adopted map 4.0. There increasing interest support from researchers institutions preparing skilled workforce for Trends E.D> 4.0-related published articles reveal more efforts developed countries compared developing countries. Discussion Our results demonstrate lack any currently existent, standardized, accepted despite trends showing sharp rise towards incorporating initiatives recently into university curricula. procedure can serve as protocol define specific context, ever-changing global workspace. While unbalanced attempts how extensively have been defined (including discrepancies policies among countries, across disciplines), further rigorous assessments needed critically assess necessary requirements effectiveness, standardization framework.
