As Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) adapt to the demands of contemporary learners, rapid technological changes prompt a re-evaluation traditional pedagogical methodologies and sustainability directives. This chapter investigates impact digital environments in teaching, learning assessment (TLA) practices. Findings indicate that student autonomy assessments is influenced by method critical reflection adopted instructors learners. Our connection with Brookfield’s work becomes more apparent an applied philosophical analysis reflective intersection new teaching paradigms under Noopshere speculative epistemological frameworks. To this day, core thesis remains largely unchanged: critically teacher identifies scrutinises assumptions shape practice using four lenses reflection: (1) students’ eyes, (2) colleagues’ perspectives, (3) theory, (4) personal experience. We argue adjustments HEIs support practices examining these through additional autobiographical lens, alongside perceptions, theoretical literature associated reflection. study builds on recent proposal for incorporating fifth lens—the “Learning Environment” effectively account learners’ interactions physical classroom, interfaces, simulations, or virtual (VLEs).

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers have been trying to identify which personal resources can contribute minimizing mental health costs in students incurred due restrictions that disrupted safety and predictability their academic lives. The aim of study was verify if how individual factors (resilience positivity) socio-environmental (social support nationality) allow prediction level perceived stress. University (n = 559) from Poland, Serbia, Italy were surveyed using Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), Brief Resilience (BRS), Positivity (PS), Interpersonal Support Evaluation List (ISEL-12). Personal resources—positivity, resilience, support—were found be positively interrelated significantly associated with stress levels. Additionally, gender nationality differentiated A general linear model (GLM) showed levels are best explained by positivity, tangible support, gender. results obtained strengthen students’ awareness protective role maintaining health, as well creation prevention-oriented educational activities. Nationality not a significant predictor stress, highlights universality examined predictors among university different countries suggests interventions aimed at enhancing these could benefit across cultural contexts.

Introduction The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly transformed various sectors, including higher education, exposing structural weaknesses and fostering the adoption of innovative teaching methods. This situation created need to understand how these changes have affected academic satisfaction, engagement, mental well-being university students during return in-person education at universities. Methods In this explanatory study, 1,321 Peruvian (52.1% women) aged between 18 35 years old ( M = 20.16, SD 3.04) participated. Participants were selected through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling method, recruited from 3 regions Peru (88.7% highlands, 76.2% private universities), faculties such as business sciences, humanities engineering, health sciences. Data collected using Emotional Exhaustion Scale (EES), Brief Satisfaction with Studies (BSSS), Academic Engagement (UWES S9). Results model relating study variables showed an adequate fit: χ 2 (4) 31.5, p < 0.001, CFI 0.986, RMSEA 0.072, SRMR 0.017. hypotheses supported, showing effect on satisfaction studies both emotional exhaustion, β −0.11, 0.61, 0.001. Additionally, 43% variance was explained in studies. Conclusion evidence that, post-pandemic context, exhaustion is negative predictor while engagement positively associated it. These findings suggest for educational strategies that mitigate promote improve student new normality.
