Pretreatment is an essential step for breaking the recalcitrant structure of lignocellulosic biomass and allowing conversion to high-value-added chemicals. In this study, coconut fiber was subjected three pretreatment methods compare their impacts on biomass’s structural characteristics efficiency in fractionating biomass. This comparative approach conducted identify mild conditions that efficiently extract lignin recover cellulose-rich pulp production bioproducts. To end, autohydrolysis, alkaline, organosolv pretreatments were performed under different experimental conditions, physicochemical properties samples evaluated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), chemical characterization cellulose, hemicellulose, fractions. Therefore, efficient identified pretreat fibers with extended understanding process lignocellulose. Great delignification yield obtained > alkaline extraction autohydrolysis selected 2 h at 185 °C presence a catalyst, namely, 0.5 M NaOH, 55 20 min 195 °C, respectively. FT-IR revealed predominance hydroxyl groups from pretreatment, showing higher degradation cellulose concentration these samples. TGA mass loss curves similar behaviors but patterns intensities, MVE showed differences surfaces each sample.
