During the studies, an experiment on bioremediation Ocimum sanctum leaf powder conducted. 96 h LC50 values for 1.08 mg/L. Different biomarkers, such as hepatosomatic index, gonadosomatic fecundity, were significantly lower fish subjected 10% 20% lead, compared controls. 45-day exposure concentrations 0.2 mg/L above lowered number total RBC, hemoglobin content, HCT (%), plasma protein, cholesterol while decreasing level WBC, glucose, creatinine, serum AST ALT. plays a significant role ameliorating toxicity.

The increasing demand for agricultural products has led to a rise in pesticide use, resulting the pollution of aquatic habitats and raising significant health concerns both life humans. Difenoconazole, triazole fungicide, is becoming increasingly popular agriculture, yet its effects on non-target organisms, such as annelids, are not well understood. This study aimed investigate toxicological difenoconazole assess potential impact toxicity biomarkers, using Tubifex tubifex model organism, better understand ecotoxicity freshwater annelids. 96-h LC50 value was determined be 2.68 mg/L. Sublethal concentrations (10% 20% value; 0.268 0.536 mg/L, respectively) caused changes activities oxidative stress enzymes. A concentration- time-dependent decrease superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione transferase (GST) observed compared control organisms. Additionally, malondialdehyde (MDA) increased throughout exposure period. An Integrated Biomarker Response (IBR) assessment used characterize illustrate T. tubifex. In conclusion, this fungicide appears reduce survival rate at acute levels disrupt normal behavioral patterns. Moreover, it alters enzyme during sublethal exposure. Long-term could potentially have population-level consequences, including reduction number individuals within population.

Agriculture has played an important role in human life, both for sustaining life and livelihood. The population explosion necessitated huge agricultural production. Consequently, there been modernisation of agriculture not only farming practices, but also introducing improved implements, irrigation, chemical fertilisers, synthetic pesticides, high-yielding seeds. Agricultural intensification monoculture make it possible to increase crop production, a large extent gaining food security, paying no or little attention environmental well-being. Intensive tillage leads soil erosion, nutrient loss, organic carbon which affects the biota. Extraction underground water irrigation causes groundwater levels drop hinders aquifer recharge. Monoculture cultivation crops lead loss many indigenous varieties prevalence pests pathogens. Extensive fertiliser application can cause acidification, eutrophication, nitrate contamination through leaching. Indiscriminate use pesticides is potential threat non-target organisms, including humans. sector contributes considerable portion greenhouse gases atmosphere. Our current study examines the significant impact of aniline on fish feed freshwater benthic annelid, Tubifex tubifex, including mortality, changes in total protein concentration and antioxidant enzyme activity (catalase, superoxide dismutase, glutathione-s transferase glutathione peroxidase), as well generation oxidative stress (by assessing malondialdehyde concentration). The 96-hour LC50 value is 276.940 mg/L. General Unified Threshold Model Survival (GUTS) was used to validate survival rate pattern test organism response at acute level, with GUTS-SD model better correctly predicting expected course population death. During long-term bioassay enzymes activities (superoxide peroxidase) biomarkers (malondialdehyde concentration) substantially enhanced while Catalase are markedly reduced during bioassay. detrimental effects tubifex were examined study, taking into account all biomarkers, by utilising Integrated Biomarker Response index. results show that exposure toxicants like has a effect tubifex's general health.

Global freshwater acidification, accelerated by rising pCO2, remains a critical ecological concern. Despite the prevalence of carboxylic acids like acetic acid (AA) and benzoic (BA) in freshwater, their potential to exacerbate acidification impact biota is not fully understood. In this study, we examined behavioural disruptions during acute exposures (96 h) operculum ultrastructure changes chronic (28 days) ecologically-relevant concentrations AA (39.7, 79.5, 99.4 mg/L) BA (31.4, 62.8, 78.5 Bellamya bengalensis. Acidification scenarios appeared calcium carbonate crystal formation, compromising opercula structure.
