Influenza viruses pose a serious threat to human health, infecting hundreds of millions people worldwide each year, resulting in significant increase global morbidity and mortality. activity has declined at the onset COVID-19 pandemic, but genetic diversity B/Victoria lineage increased significantly during this period. Therefore, prevention treatment influenza B Victoria strain virus should continue attract research attention. In study, we found that Atractyloside A (AA), one effective components Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC shows potential antiviral properties. This study AA not only possesses anti-influenza infection effects vivo vitro also can regulate macrophage polarization M2 type, which effectively attenuate damage caused by infection. may be an natural drug against

We synthesized a set of small molecules using molecular hybridization approach with good yields. The antiviral properties the conjugates against SAR-CoV-2 virus were investigated and their cytotoxicity was also determined. Among all conjugates, compound 9f showed potential SARS-CoV-2 low cytotoxicity. conjugates' selectivity indexes (SIs) determined to correlate observed biological data further validated computational studies.

The genetic variants of HLAs (human leukocyte antigens) play a crucial role in the virus-host interaction and pathology COVID-19. not only influence T cell immune responses but also B by presenting variety peptide fragments invading pathogens. Peptide cocktail vaccines produced using various conserved HLA-A2 epitopes provoke substantial specific CD8+ experimental animals. HLA profiles vary among individuals trigger different cell-mediated COVID-19 infections. Those with HLA-C*01 HLA-B*44 are highly susceptible to disease. However, HLA-A*02:01, HLA-DR*03:01, HLA-Cw*15:02 alleles show resistance SARS infection. Understanding association susceptibility severity is important because it can help studying transmission its physiopathogenesis. B*44 allele pathways be studied gain insight into disease Therefore, integrating testing suggested ongoing pandemic, which will rapid identification populations worldwide possibly acclimate vaccine development. understanding correlation between SARS-CoV-2 critical opening new insights therapeutics, based on previous studies conducted.

The anti-MERS-CoV activities of three medicinal plants (Azadirachta indica, Artemisia judaica, and Sophora tomentosa) were evaluated. highest viral inhibition percentage (96%) was recorded for S. tomentosa. Moreover, the mode action both tomentosa A. judaica showed 99.5% 92% inhibition, respectively, with virucidal as main action. Furthermore, anti-SARS-CoV-2 measured. Notably, activity very high (100%) slightly lower (96%). Therefore, phytochemical investigation promising L. led to isolation structural identification nine compounds (1−9). Then, CC50 IC50 values isolated against SARS-CoV-2 Compound 4 (genistein 4’-methyl ether) achieved superior an value 2.13 µm. Interestingly, that adsorption mechanisms effective. Additionally, MERS-CoV found be 1.01 3.11 µg/mL, respectively. In addition, all subjected two separate molecular docking studies spike (S) protease (Mpr°) receptors SARS-CoV-2.
