Polynomial regression (PR) response surface analysis (RSA) used analyze the data. At all points, case agreement between combined effect both variables manifested as positive linear association resilience. Instead, baseline, disagreement, same negative relationship related The findings highlighted importance considering conjoint when developing interventions improve

Abstract Background There is limited information about psychological distress in adults who underwent kidney replacement therapy (KRT) during childhood. This study aimed to describe after KRT childhood comparison the Swiss general population and evaluate associations with sociodemographic clinical characteristics. Methods We sent a questionnaire 143 people from Pediatric Renal Registry (SPRR), were alive, over 18 years old, started before age of years, German speakers. measured using Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI-18) evaluated Global Severity Index (GSI-18), reflecting overall level distress, three subscales: depression, somatization, anxiety. compared levels normal data used regression models identify Results Eighty persons mean 39 (SD 10.1) responded (response rate 56%). Overall, GSI-18 all subscales BSI-18 similar. Unemployed participants (25%) reported higher somatization more likely experience distress. Participants psychotropic drugs (14%) (10%), depression (13%) (9%). Conclusions Adults showed good long-term well-being. These results are encouraging underline favorable outcome these patients. Abstract Background Due to various reasons explored in previous studies, adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD) are at risk of developing post-traumatic stress symptoms (PTSS). The aim this study is explore multiple potential psychosocial protective factors ACHD and understand their role different complexities (CHD) PTSS. Method This was part the “ABS-AHF” study, where 234 were recruited from November 2021 August 2022 a tertiary CHD care center. Data collected on PTSS (PDS), resilience (RS-13), sense coherence (SOC-L9), social support (F-SozU K-14). Results mean scores 70.55 + / − 12.31 [21–91] for resilience, 35.83 4.81 [15–60] (SOC), 4.30 0.79 [0.93–5] support. SOC (OR, .91; p = .024 [.84; 9.98]) .48; .001 [.29; 7.96]) shown reduce likelihood Low 2.40, .0248 [1.18; 5.18]) seems increase likelihood. Conclusion Integrating parents relatives early be an important resource. Parental childhood affects development which line related lower With regard SOC, brief manageable screening option personal resources available refer potentially vulnerable patients specialized care. Care offers should address coping styles life CHD. Offering multidisciplinary care, integrating patient’s network, education might provide way enhance outcomes, quality life, adherence ACHD.
