Cancer is still the leading cause of death worldwide, burdening global medical system. Rosmarinic acid (RA) among first secondary metabolites discovered and it a bioactive compound identified in plants such as Boraginaceae Nepetoideae subfamilies Lamiaceae family, including Thymus masticmasti chinaythia koreana, Ocimum sanctum, Hyptis pectinate. This updated review to highlight chemopreventive chemotherapeutic effects RA its derivatives, thus providing valuable clues for potential development some complementary drugs treatment cancers. Relevant information about RA's derivatives were collected from electronic scientific databases, PubMed/Medline, Scopus, TRIP database, Web Science, Science Direct. The results studies showed numerous significant biological antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour, antioxidant antiangiogenic effects. Most on anticancer with corresponding mechanisms are experimental preclinical stage missing evidence clinical trials support research. To open new therapeutic perspectives future must elucidate molecular targets action more detail, human toxic adverse

In most cases, cancer develops due to abnormal cell growth and subsequent tumour formation. Due significant constraints with current treatments, natural compounds are being explored as potential alternatives. There now around 30 under clinical trials for the treatment of cancer. Tulsi, or Holy Basil, genus Ocimum, is one widely available cost-effective medicinal plants. India, tulsi plant has deep religious significance. Tulsi essential oil contains a valuable source bioactive compounds, such camphor, eucalyptol, eugenol, alpha-bisabolene, beta-bisabolene, beta-caryophyllene. These proposed be responsible antimicrobial properties leaf extracts. The anticancer effects (Ocimum sanctum L.) have earned it title “queen herbs” “Elixir Life” in Ayurvedic treatment. leaves, which high concentrations been shown properties. various cancers, eugenol exerts its antitumour through number different mechanisms. light this, review focuses on benefits primary phytoconstituent, apotential therapeutic agent against wide range types. recent years, gained popularity ongoing trials, evaluated their effects. A primary concern about photodynamic therapy (PDT) is its inability to regulate the generation levels of reactive oxidative species (ROS) based on complex microenvironment, resulting in impairment toward normal tissues and immunosuppression. Besides, tumor metastasis also compromises PDT's efficacy drives mortality. However, it very challenging achieve such two goals within one nanosystem. Here, nanoassembly (CPR) with self-regulated antimetastasis properties comprises three parts: chlorin e6-conjugated β-cyclodextrin (CD-Ce6) acts as main PDT agent ferrocene (Fc)-terminated phenylboronic acid-containing conjugates entering into cavity CD-Ce6, well rosmarinic acid (RA)-boronic crosslinked shell. Compared non-crosslinked counterpart, CPR displays better stability enhanced accumulation. Under laser irradiation, generates plenty ROS damage cells induce immunogenic cell death. Mildly acidic TME partly cleaves crosslinkers dissociate antioxidant RAs from micelles, which together Fc scavenge PDT-induced TME. By contrast, under lysosomal conditions, catalyzes abundant H2 O2 produce highly cytotoxic •OH, while RA continuously reduces ferroptosis-generated Fc+ Fc, both augment cells. remarkably hinders epithelial-mesenchymal transition prevent lung metastasis.

Gliomas are prevalent malignant tumors in adults, which can be categorized as either localized or diffuse gliomas. Glioblastoma is the most aggressive and deadliest form of glioma. Currently, there no complete cure, median survival time less than one year. The main mechanism regulated cell death involves organisms coordinating elimination damaged cells at risk tumor transformation hijacked by microorganisms for pathogen replication. This process includes apoptosis, necroptosis, autophagy, ferroptosis, pyroptosis, necrosis, parthanayosis, entosis, lysosome-dependent death, NETosis, oxiptosis, alkaliptosis, disulfidaptosis. goal clinical oncology to develop therapies that promote effective cancer regulating oncology. Recently, scientists have utilized pertinent regulatory factors natural small-molecule compounds induce treatment By analyzing PubMed Web Science databases, this paper reviews research progress on regulation role aim provide help glioblastoma.
