A main cause of vision loss in the elderly is age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Among cellular, biochemical, and molecular changes linked to this disease, inflammation angiogenesis appear as being crucial AMD pathogenesis progression. There are two forms disease: dry AMD, accounting for 80–90% cases, wet AMD. The disease usually begins associated with retinal pigment epithelium photoreceptor degeneration, whereas choroidal neovascularization resulting severe impairment. new vessels largely malformed, leading blood fluid leakage within disrupted tissue, which provokes scar formation results damage detachment. MicroRNAs dysregulated may facilitate early detection monitoring Two recent reviews microRNAs had indicated weaknesses or limitations four earlier investigations. Studies last three years have shown considerable progress overcoming some these concerns identifying specific biomarkers Further large-scale studies warranted using appropriate statistical methods take into account gender age disparity study populations confounding factors such smoking status.

Altered levels BDNF, both circulation central (CNS), have been reported to be involved pathogenesis neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s (PD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Huntington’s (HD), multiple (MS), ischemic stroke. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are class non-coding RNAs found body fluids such as peripheral blood cerebrospinal fluid. Several different miRNAs, their target genes, recognized pathophysiology neurovascular diseases. Thus, they present promising biomarkers novel treatment approach for CNS disorders. Currently, limited studies provide viable evidence miRNA-mediated post-transcriptional regulation BDNF. The aim this review comprehensive assessment current knowledge regarding potential diagnostic prognostic values miRNAs affecting BDNF expression its disorders biomarker. Moreover, therapeutic diseases stroke targeting associated with will discussed.

In situ spatiotemporal microRNA (miRNA) imaging in mammal cells plays an essential role illustrating its structures and biological functions. Herein, we proposed a near-infrared (NIR) light-activated nanoprobe for high-sensitive controllable miRNA living cells. The NIR-activated employed upconversion nanoparticle that acted as NIR-to-UV transducer to trigger the following photocleavage toward dumbbell DNA probe tethered on surface of nanoparticle. structure change then induced catalytic hairpin assembly target miRNAs, by which readout amplified fluorescence signal was enabled. Additionally, both intracellular accurate quantification live were realized without damaging cell membranes. Compared with conventional strategies, approach remarkedly increases efficiency eliminating those unfavored intercellular molecular backgrounds. We assured sensing strategy will add advancement bioanalysis systems, is crucial importance diagnosis various human diseases, especially cancers.

Central nervous system (CNS) disease is a general term for series of complex and diverse diseases, including Alzheimer’s (AD), Parkinson’s (PD), multiple sclerosis (MS), CNS tumors, stroke, epilepsy, amyotrophic lateral (ALS). Interneuron neuron-glia cells communicate with each other through their homeostatic microenvironment. Exosomes in the microenvironment have crucial impacts on interneuron by transferring contents, such as proteins, lipids, ncRNAs, constituting novel form cell-to-cell interaction communication. Exosomal noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs), microRNAs (miRNAs), long (lncRNAs), circular (circRNAs), PIWI-interacting (piRNAs), regulate physiological functions maintain homeostasis. are regarded extracellular messengers that transfer ncRNAs between neurons body fluids due to ability cross blood-brain barrier. This review aims summarize current understanding exosomal prospective diagnostic biomarkers, pathological regulators, therapeutic strategies clinical applications. We also provide an all-sided discussion comparison some similar diseases main limitations challenges

The cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which surrounds the brain and spinal cord, is predominantly produced by choroid plexus of ventricle. Although CSF-derived extracellular vesicles (CSF-EVs) may be utilized as diagnostic prognostic indicators for illnesses central nervous system (CNS), it uncertain if CSF-EVs have an impact on neurological function after cord injury (SCI). Here, we isolated EVs using ultracentrifugation extracting CSF from Bama miniature pigs. We then combined with hydrogel put cord's surface. To determine had mice's neurofunctional recovery, behavioral evaluations were employed. Both in vitro vivo, effect angiogenesis was assessed. investigated whether stimulated PI3K/AKT pathway to alter PI3K inhibitor LY294002. successfully identified transmission electron microscope (TEM), nano-tracking analysis (NTA), western blot. could ingested vascular endothelial cells proved vivo imaging immunofluorescence. demonstrated that derived pigs SCI (SCI-EVs) showed a better promoting regeneration compared receiving laminectomy (Sham-EVs).
