Abstract
Autophagy,
a
lysosomal
degradation
pathway
for
cellular
constituents
and
organelles,
is
an
adaptive

process

homeostasis.
Although
autophagy
functions
as
survival
mechanism
in
response
to
stressors
such
nutrient
or
growth
factor
deprivation,
it
can
also
lead

form
of
programmed
cell
death
(PCD)
called
autophagy-induced
autophagy-associated
(type
II
PCD).
Current
evidence
suggests
that
through
be
induced

Curcumin,
a
pigment
from
turmeric,

one
of
the

natural
products
that

been

Curcumin,
a
yellow
pigment
in
the
Indian
spice
Turmeric
(Curcuma
longa),
which
is
chemically
known
as

Pelletier.
However,

Curcumin

agent

by
several
vitro,

trials.

usage.

have
been
