Pre-Calculus is considered one of many gate-keeper courses for STEM college students (Viera Jr et al., 2019). To better support in Pre-Calculus, various college-level institutions have redesigned their to address learning challenges and inequities faced by students. For instance, Jones Lanaghan (2021) the course incorporate a standards-based grading system, active practices among students, emphasis on developing growth mindset. Students passed class at higher rate than those enrolled traditional course, with difference 38.3% higher. Additionally, Calculus I rate, 3.1% Despite overall improvement encouraging outcomes further still need be addressed. This study seeks answer following research questions: 1) What concepts are most successfully learned course? 2) challenging Data from 59 all sections Spring 2023 were analyzed quantitatively, using descriptive statistics. Purpose This study aims to investigate the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on K-12 education using County level data. Design/methodology/approach The authors use County-level data and charts look at enrollment, performance in different grade levels, poverty measures, access internet, etc., shed light educational losses after pandemic. Findings In remote pandemic, internet has emerged as foundational element equity. While declines academic engagement during schooling affected many schools, potential for learning loss was significantly higher lower-income communities. A thorough examination end-of-grade assessment revealed a concerning trend declining Math Language Arts post-pandemic. Research limitations/implications One major limitations that have faced this research is did not individual/household regarding high-speed connection, household income, other relevant socio-economic variables. That made it impossible control variables interest, hence distinction between correlation causation possible. Practical implications Learning can be potentially long-term complex. Therefore, targeted intentional interventions are essential decrease disparity gaps, increase resources raise levels exceed prepandemic outcomes. Such impact skill development future economic success, both individually collectively. Social findings underscore urgent need address digital disparities intensifying Clayton County, Georgia. Effective strategies must prioritize equitable technology, particularly students high-poverty areas. By bridging these schools communities reduce consequences pandemic-induced create pathways more education.
