Purpose The study aims to examine the extent of corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure Canadian cannabis firms and how they view responsibility. It also explores build their CSR-based organizational identity through Twitter. Design/methodology/approach Deductive inductive content analyses were carried on tweets for a sample 18 listed marijuana index during legalization period recreational use cannabis. Purpose This study investigates the roles of consumption motives and ethical perspectives in explaining individuals’ perceptions corporate social responsibility (CSR) within context recreational marijuana industry, often characterized as morally contentious. Design/methodology/approach The research was conducted Canada, a country where is legally permitted. Through an online survey, 411 participants were recruited, data analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) SmartPLS4, employing ANOVA structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques. Findings analyses reveal significant differences across four perspectives: absolutism, subjectivism, situationism exceptionism. Conformity are most prominent exceptionism group, while expansion more common subjectivism group. CSR vary among these groups, with showing favorable views. In absolutism positively influence perception, whereas conformity negatively impact it. Conversely, only affect perception. Zusammenfassung: Zielsetzung: Die deutsche Bundesregierung hat beschlossen, den nicht-medizinischen Cannabis-Gebrauch und -Vertrieb zu legalisieren, Kernpunkte des vorgesehenen Regelwerks vorgelegt. Einige dieser werden aus der Sicht internationaler Erfahrungen wissenschaftlicher Evidenz zur Legalisierung – insbesondere mit Blick auf Massnahmen Ziele öffentlicher Gesundheit eingeschätzt kommentiert. Methodik: Selektive Zusammenfassung policy-analytische Anwendung Evidenz. Ergebnisse: Ein erheblicher Anteil von Cannabis-bezogenen Gesundheitsproblemen hängt dem Konsum Hochpotenz- (THC) Produkten zusammen; allerdings würden kategorische THC-Grenzwerte für legal verfügbares Cannabis diese im Gesamten wahrscheinlich nicht reduzieren sondern primär Hochrisiko-Konsumenten weiter in Illegalität belassen. Mindestalter-Grenze 18 Jahren legales macht politischen Sinn repräsentiert unbedingt optimalen Gesundheits- oder sozialen Schutz junge Konsumenten; wird Cannabis-Konsum bei Minderjährigen hoch blieben. Eine substanz-übergreifende, gesundheits-orientierte Angleichung Gesetzesregelungen andere Substanzen (z. B. Alkohol) wäre sinnvoll.
