Sickle cell disease (SCD), the most common inherited blood disorder in United States, is associated with severe psychoneurological symptoms. While epigenetic age acceleration has been linked to symptom burden other diseases, this connection unexplored SCD. This study aimed assess association between and

Abstract We examined the sex-specific association between education and income with biological age (BA) by race/ethnicity. The Klemera-Doubal method was used to calculate BA among 6,213 females 5,938 males aged 30-75 years who were Hispanic, non-Hispanic (NH) White, NH Black (NHB), or Asian (NHA). Compared a college education, less than high school associated greater 3.06 (95% CI: 1.58, 4.54) only; associations strongest NHB, NHA females. an annual of ≥$75,000, <$25,000 4.95 3.42, 6.48) 2.76 1.51, 4.01); NHW adults, Hispanic males. Targeting upstream sources structural disadvantage racial/ethnic minority groups, in conjunction improvements may promote healthy aging these populations.

Epigenetic clocks were known as promising biomarkers of aging, including original trained by individual CpG sites and principal component (PC) PCs sites. The effects genetic environmental factors on epigenetic are still unclear, especially for PC clocks.
