Background and objectives The coprescription of an opioid a sedative-hypnotic (i.e., benzodiazepine or Z-drug) is associated with negative patient outcomes. Although multiple guidelines recommend minimizing this combination, studies demonstrate high coprescribing patterns. Area Deprivation Index (ADI), validated surrogate measure socioeconomic status, was used to assess disadvantage. objective study evaluate the current prevalence relationship between coprescriptions ADI scores patients. Methods A single-center retrospective observational from 2019 2022 adult patients in outpatient clinics ≥ 7 days overlap prescription Z-drug prescription) conducted. binomial model analyzed percentage change incidence for every unit increase national ADI. Results total 6,846 had prescriptions, comprising 83,560 over four-year period. regression found 1.004% increased risk (p < 0.01), indicating higher average 57 years old 64.1, duration 23.8 days, ts (MME) 47.3. Secondary observations included significant difference across insurance types (p-value 0.001). Higher MMEs were observed white, black, younger Conclusions This highlights continued their social determinants health. stronger association among greater disadvantage ADI) underscores importance incorporating into prescribing assessments.

Objectives Early psychosis intervention (EPI) programs play a crucial role in detecting and treating early, yet disparities access persist. This study aimed to assess the spatial accessibility of EPI Toronto, Canada, explore association between indicators neighbourhood-level marginalization. Methods We conducted geospatial analysis using floating catchment area two-step methods, examining program locations, census population estimates for 158 Toronto neighbourhoods, area-level marginalization data. Spatial regression models were used estimate factors accessibility. Results On average, closest is 4 km away from centre any given neighbourhood (range 0.8–11 km), with variability across city. Clustering observed some indicating better accessibility, whereas other neighbourhoods face lower access. A full model showed increasing levels housing dwelling marginalization, as well material resource be associated Conclusion identified that have poorer services. Some previously found risk are also It notable services may located where they most needed most. The underscores importance analyses identify address geographic distance potential source disparity

Purpose Prior studies have barely explored how socio-demographic, urban and government factors play an important role in mental health of citizens, this study highlights a different happiness, depression life satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach This employs the hierarchical linear regression based on Gyeonggi Province South Korea. Findings National local governments all whereas socio-demographic do not exert significant impact it. For example, safety has highest effect happiness (0.272), followed by environment (0.211), (0.085), national (0.070) education (0.057). Second, most influence depression. age low (0.271 0.125, respectively). Third, essential satisfaction (0.212), ahead (0.205), (0.106) (0.065). Originality/value To best my knowledge, is first article exploring effects thoughts satisfaction, respectively, employing econometric models.
