Background Many systematic reviews (SRs) have reported the efficacy of acupuncture in improving Parkinson’s disease (PD), but quality evidence is unknown. Therefore, it necessary to comprehensively summarize and objectively evaluate for PD. Methods Seven databases were searched retrieve SRs on Two reviewers independently completed literature retrieval, screening, data extraction. The methodological quality, risk bias (RoB), included assessed by Assessing Methodological Quality Systematic Reviews 2 (AMSTAR 2), Risk Bias (ROBIS), Grading Recommendations Assessment, Development Evaluation (GRADE) tool. Results A total 24 included. According AMSTAR 2, 6 (25%) rated as high moderate 12 (50%) very low quality. application ROBIS tool showed that at bias. results GRADE 8 (7.62%) outcomes provided evidence, 23 (21.9%) 42 (40%) 32 (30.48%) evidence. In recent years, research has revealed that GABAergic signaling pathway plays an important role in occurrence and development PD. GABA is inhibitory neurotransmitter central nervous system (CNS), synthesized through alpha decarboxylation reaction glutamate (Glu) under action glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) neurons. Objective This pilot study aims to assess the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness. of acupuncture as an adjunct therapy for improving sleep quality in patients with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) who are experiencing fragmented disorders. Method recruited a small cohort 11 diagnosed. With PD, each undergoing structured 4-week intervention comprising three sessions per week. Outcome measures included polysomnography (PSG) Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), both which were evaluated at baseline following completion regimen. Result Post-intervention analysis showed trends toward improved continuity statistical significance arousal index ( p = 0.001), frequency PSQI scores 0.026) compared measurements.
