Background/Objectives: The rising prevalence of pediatric obesity highlights the urgent need for effective lifestyle interventions that improve diet quality, in line with global health objectives. Tackling through planetarian dietary practices not only enhances individual but also mitigates environmental impact food systems. EAT-Lancet Commission’s plant-based recommendations underscore dual benefit promoting human while supporting sustainability. This study aims to assess changes adherence a diet, measured planetary indices, following intervention population. Methods: In this randomized controlled trial, 107 participants abdominal were assigned either usual care group or an intensive group, latter moderately hypocaloric Mediterranean combined nutritional education. Adherence was evaluated using both Diet Score and Index. Results: significantly improved leading notable reductions body mass index (BMI), weight, waist circumference, alongside improvements anthropometric clinical outcomes. Background/Purpose: To our knowledge, no previous study has analyzed the associations between self-efficacy and adherence to Mediterranean diet (MedDiet) in adolescents, nor have sex-based differences this relationship been examined. The aim of current was examine MedDiet Spanish adolescents. Methods: This research cross-sectional involved 619 adolescents (56.5% girls) who were part Eating Habits Activities Daily Living (EHDLA) project. Self-efficacy assessed using a 10-item scale (general scale), which yielded scores ranging from 20 100 points. Diet Quality Index for Children Adolescents (KIDMED), consists 16-item questionnaire with -4 12, used evaluate MedDiet. Unhealthy behaviors related assigned score -1, whereas healthy received +1. Results: Overall, each 20-point increase self-efficacy, boys had greater non-significant likelihood having optimal (1.33%, 95% confidence interval [CI] -5.15 7.82, p = 0.687). Conversely, girls significant per further point (7.40%, CI 2.28 12.53, 0.005). Individually, among boys, associated 4.8% higher probability dairy product breakfast (95% 0.2 9.4, 0.042). Among girls, same linked consuming fruit or juice daily (6.8%, 2.2 11.4, 0.004), eating second every day (8.6%, 3.4 13.8, 0.001), fish regularly (6.2%, 1.1 11.2, 0.017), enjoying pulses them more than once week (4.5%, 0.3 8.8, 0.035), cereals grains (5.4%, 0.4 10.5, nuts (5.2%, 10.2, 0.041). Additionally, increases 5.0% lower skipping -8.8 -1.1, 0.012). Conclusions: Our results revealed association not significant. These suggest that interventions aimed at improving adolescent dietary patterns should consider incorporating strategies potentially sex-specific approaches.

Abstract Background Dietary guidelines for families with children are designed to meet the Recommended Intake. However, cost of a healthy diet and extent which can afford it in Israel is unclear.
