There are currently more than 3.3 million prostate cancer (PC) survivors in the United States. Conformance with national dietary guidelines and a good diet quality may lower risk for Gleason grade progression PC patients. Assessing nutritional status of is thus paramount importance from public health nutrition perspective. We used 24-h recall data National Health Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES) to systematically estimate nutrient intakes n = 360 (which be extrapolated represent 1,841,030 survivors) aged 70.69 years on average, contrasted results daily goals (DNG) 2020–2025 Dietary Guidelines Americans (DGA). Diet was found generally poor, DNG as specified DGA were not met many micronutrients, including calcium, magnesium potassium. had an insufficient intake vitamins (including A, C, D E), did meet recommendations fiber. Racial disparities reflected overall DQ Non-Hispanic Black participants. Our reiterate need assessment counseling improve

Importance Prostate cancer (PCa) remains a leading cause of cancer-related death among men in the US. Objective To evaluate association healthy lifestyle and dietary behaviors with survival after nonmetastatic PCa diagnosis multiethnic population. Design, Setting, Participants This prospective cohort study was conducted aged 45 to 75 years enrolled between 1993 1996 Multiethnic Cohort study. completed questionnaire (2003-2008) were followed up until or loss follow-up. Data analyzed from January 10, 2023, May 20, 2024. Exposures Lifestyle patterns assessed using 3 behavior scores 13 indices (4 prioritized scores: Healthy Eating Index–2015, Healthful Plant-Based Diet Index, Dietary Inflammatory Empirical Index for Hyperinsulinemia). Main Outcomes Measures Cox proportional hazards models used multivariable-adjusted associations each score all-cause, cardiovascular disease (CVD), PCa-specific mortality. Results A total 2603 (mean [SD] age, 69.6 [7.1] years) up, 1346 deaths documented, including 356 (24.6%) CVD 197 (14.6%) PCa. Wheat germ oil (WGO), derived from the nutrient-dense of wheat kernels, is a functional bioactive product, known for its rich composition essential fatty acids, sterols, tocopherols, and polyphenols. This study aimed to comprehensively profile molecular therapeutic properties WGO, focusing on antioxidant, cytotoxic, anti-inflammatory activity. Using advanced analytical techniques such as gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, fluorescence analysis, WGO was shown contain high levels linoleic acid (45.3%), squalene (2.52 g/100 g), displayed selective cytotoxicity, inhibiting cancer cells' viability in melanoma, prostate, colorectal cell lines, but not normal cells, highlighting chemoprevention potential. Furthermore, significantly reduced LPS-induced nitric oxide IL-6 production macrophages, with effects plateauing at higher doses. The 3D spectra showed significant decrease intensity when human serum albumin interacted polyphenol fraction, indicating strong binding affinity stable complex formation. These findings emphasize nutritional potential natural agent, warranting further mechanistic investigation broader applications health disease management.
