Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have recently attracted significant interest, owing to their excellent optoelectronic properties and diverse applications, including photovoltaics, solid-state lighting emitting diodes (LEDs), other applications. However, the toxic nature of lead-based MHPs, lanthanide-based MHPs emerged as an alternative, leading new opportunities for emerging such in near-infrared (NIR) imaging, NIR cameras, white LEDs, information encryption. Moreover, lanthanide doping significantly enhances stability optical MHPs. In this review, we attempted overview state-of-the-art synthesis strategies investigate structural, Furthermore, several applications solar cells, temperature sensors are discussed along with outlooks future directions.
