Today, the energy and environmental crisis originating from use of fossil fuels carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions has become a common concern in lives people. Photocatalysis is promising clean technology receiving much attention. There are diverse strategies to enhance efficiency photocatalysis, high entropy photocatalysts (HEPs) show great potential as new efficient photocatalysts. The tunability HEPs provides more possibilities for design electronic structure catalysts, which leads separation electron-hole pairs substantially enhances photocatalytic performance. This review discusses composition HEPs, their advantages characterization, prediction, latest applications various systems. Finally, we discuss summarize challenges prospects HEPs.

Innovative studies in recent years to remove pollutants discharged into water resources through various means are critically important for protecting existing resources. An part of these is heterogeneous catalysis-based AOPs, where new generation composite materials used and high organic pollutant degradation has been achieved. This study the solvothermal approach produce a BiOI@BH sonocatalyst doped with hydrochar (BH). A variety analysis techniques, including XRD, FESEM, EDS, FTIR, DRS, BET surface analysis, were assess changes physico-chemical properties structure comparison BiOI. Both adsorption sonocatalytic processes methylene blue aqueous solution found be more successful structure. The following order oxidative species activity was observed degradation: •OH > h+ O2•–. Recovery showed that decrease efficiency catalyst after 5 cycles MB 10 %. It determined increased significantly use persulfate oxidant at pH> 5. Finally, (20 mg L−1) degraded by 99 % presence mM 0.5 g L−1 90 min
