ABSTRACT Phototheranostics with near‐infrared fluorescence and reactive oxygen species generation ability high photothermal conversion efficiency (PCE) plays a significant role in imaging‐guided synergetic photodynamic therapy of tumors. Here, star molecule organic photovoltaic materials, NCBDT‐4C an A‐D‐A conjugated structure, was assembled DSPE‐PEG‐NH 2 to prepare water dispersive nanoparticles (NPs). The prepared NCBDT‐4Cl NPs exhibited maximum NIR absorption peak at 764 nm 798 nm. These could generate superoxide anion, singlet ( 1 O ), heat under 808 laser irradiation. quantum yield PCE the were 37.5% 53.6%, respectively. combination cancer demonstrated vitro vivo. This work presents advanced application materials phototherapy.
