It is of great importance to develop bifunctional electrocatalysts with high efficiency and low cost for water splitting fuel cells. Herein, based on the new emerging two-dimensional material MoSi2N4, we explore potentials novel Janus MoSi2P2As2 (labeled as MSPA) in electrocatalytic applications. We conduct a comprehensive study using first-principles calculations potential decorated 13 kinds transition metal atoms efficient catalysts hydrogen/oxygen evolution reaction (HER/OER) oxygen evolution/reduction (OER/ORR). After screening, results show that Rh@MSPA Au@MSPA can serve OER/ORR overpotentials 0.27/0.29 V 0.42/0.37 V, Pt@MSPA exhibit HER/OER catalyst an overpotential -0.004/0.51 V. The solvation effect catalytic activity also investigated. volcano diagrams are employed depict trends toward HER, OER, ORR. d-band center, ICOHP intrinsic descriptor φ quantitative descriptors ORR/OER reveal origin OER/ORR. This presents viable approach developing advanced multiple functionalities, thereby expanding utilization electrocatalysis.
