Abstract The luminescence materials act as the key components in many functional devices, well detection and imaging systems, which can be permeated each aspect of modern life, attract more attention for creative technology applications. In addition to diverse properties organic luminogens, multiple molecular packing at aggregated states frequently offers new and/or exciting performance. However, there still lacks comprehensive analysis these materials, resulting an increased gap between design practical this review, from basic knowledge compounds single molecules, discernable property excimer, charge transfer (CT) complex or self‐assembly systems by adjacent finally opto‐electronic performance aggregates, relevant factors applications are discussed.

Abstract In order to improve the performance of organic luminescent materials, lots studies have been carried out at molecular level. However, these materials are mostly applied as solids or aggregates in practical applications, which relationship between aggregation structure and property should be paid more attention. Here, we obtained five phenothiazine 5,5‐dioxide (O‐PTZ) derivatives with distinct conformations by rational design chemical structures, systematically studied their room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP) effect solid state. It was found that O‐PTZ dimers quasi‐equatorial (eq) conformation tended show stronger π‐π interaction than quasi‐axial (ax) conformers crystal state, conducive generation RTP. Based on this result, a multi‐level structural model proposed draw RTP effect, just like research for structure‐property proteins. Using guide, boosted efficiency from 1% 20% successfully achieved corresponding host‐guest doping system, showing its wide applicability.

Abstract Recently, stimulus‐responsive organic materials with room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP) properties have attracted significant attention owing to their potential applications in chemical sensing, anticounterfeiting, and displays. However, molecular design currently lacks systematicity effectiveness. Herein, we report a capture‐release strategy for the construction of reversible RTP via B/N Lewis pairs. Specifically, acid 7‐bromo‐5,9‐dioxa‐13b‐boranaphtho[3,2,1‐de]anthracene (BrBA) can be deactivated through capturing by base, N , ‐diphenyl‐4‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)aniline (TPAPy), reactivated dissociation B−N bonds release BrBA. Reversible is attributed exceptional self‐assembly capability BrBA, whereas tunable colors are derived from distinct Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) processes. The information storage anti‐counterfeiting were also experimentally validated. approach proposed this study offers an effective designing materials.

For over a century, fingerprints have served as pivotal tool for identification of individuals owing to their enduring characteristics and easily apparent features, particularly in the realm criminal investigations. Latent (LFPs) are "invisible fingerprints" that most commonly available at crime scenes require rapid, selective, sensitive, convenient method detection. However, existing fingerprint development techniques harbour limitations, prompting exploration novel approaches prioritize investigator safety environmental sustainability. Leveraging unique photophysical properties aggregation-induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) has emerged promising strategy on-site analysis LFP visualization. In this highlight, we presented comparative various AIEgens (organic compounds, metal complexes, nanoparticles, polymers) detection LFPs. Through examination, insights into efficiency potential applications AIE-based provided. addition, several strategies been proposed circumventing limitations AIEgens. We hope highlight article will encourage more researchers investigate detection, contributing forensic science.
