Abstract The continuous innovation of captivating new organic semiconducting materials remains pivotal in the development high‐performance electronic devices. Herein, a molecular engineering by combining sila‐annulation with vertical extension rylene diimides (RDIs) toward high‐mobility semiconductors is presented. unilateral and bilateral sila‐annulated quaterrylene (Si‐QDI 2Si‐QDI) are designed synthesized. In particular, symmetrical 2Si‐QDI exhibits compact, 1D slipped π – stacking arrangement through synergistic combination sizable ‐conjugated core intercalating alkyl chains. Combining appreciable elevated HOMO levels reduced energy gaps, single‐crystalline field‐effect transistors (SC‐OFETs) based on demonstrate exceptional ambipolar transport characteristics an impressive hole mobility 3.0 cm 2 V −1 s electron 0.03 , representing best ampibolar SC‐OFETs RDIs. Detailed theoretical calculations rationalize that larger transfer integral along direction responsible for achievement superior charge transport. This study showcases remarkable potential optimizing carrier performances polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).
