Excessive blood loss and infections are the prominent risks accounting for mortality disability associated with acute wounds. Consequently, wound dressings should encompass adequate adhesive, hemostatic, bactericidal attributes, yet their development remains challenging. This investigation presented benefits of incorporating a perfluorocarbon nanoemulsion (PPP NE) into silk-fibroin (SF)-based hydrogel. By stimulating β-sheet conformation SF chains, PPP NEs drastically shortened gelation time while augmenting elasticity, mechanical stability, viscosity Furthermore, integration improved hemostatic competence by boosting affinity between cells biomacromolecules.
